We are proud to announce today that Coach Alicia will be taking over the Head Water Polo Coaching duties at Shadow Hills High School beginning next week. During the last four weeks of our Summer Season the Piranha Swim Team and Piranha Masters Swim Team competed in seven different Championship meets all with exciting results. This past week the Piranha Swim Team competed at the USA Swimming 2013 Speedo California/Nevada Sectional Championships in Santa Clarita, California. Seven Piranhas had qualified for the competition, the most in our clubs history: Sheby Andrade, Faith Travis, Alexa Wasserman, Sophie MacEwen, Indira Ceranic, Kat WIckham, and Nick Korth. As a club the Piranha Swim Team finished second in the “Small Team” division only 6 points behind the San Luis Obispo Swim Club while the Santa Barbara Swim Club/UCSB team finished third. Following results of the Piranha swimmers that competed in meets this past week was no easy task. You needed to know three different languages and keep track of the time in four time zones. No practice for any groups on July 4th. Saturday practice in Palm Springs for Masters and Swim Team is now 6am. Masters morning practice and Shadow Hills evening practice will go unchanged.
