Dear DA Family, 

As we come to the end of this season, it is time to look forward to the 2023-2024 swim year.  In this email, you will find information about scheduling, registration, and important new requirements for both pre-team and competitive team athletes.  

Schedule

Programming is offered at the Crown Valley pool. The Bronze group, our pre-team group, has several day/time options available and so does our silver group.  The Gold, Pre-Senior and Senior groups swim at a specific time each day.

*** When registering for Bronze or Silver, please be very careful in your selection.  Swim times and days are not interchangeable.  Swimmers are only allowed to swim on their specific days and times.

Registration

The new season registration will open on Friday, August 18th on a first come, first serve basis. On August 31, we will suspend all accounts of athletes who did not participate in registration.

When registering your athlete, age is as of September 1, 2024.

*** In order to register for Gold and Senior groups, athletes must have coach approval (or have been in one of these groups before).

Competitive Group Attendance and Meet Requirements

Although DA does not have an attendance requirement for most groups*, monthly dues are a set amount and not based on the number of days a swimmer chooses to swim. If a group is offered five (5) days a week, the swimmer is welcome to attend any or all of those five days and the monthly dues are based on five days.   

Additionally, consistent practice attendance is imperative for growth in this sport.  In this upcoming season, DA is suggesting the following attendance expectations for all competitive group athletes:  

·       Silver Group - Attend a minimum of 75% of practices offered by per month.

·       Gold Group - Attend a minimum of 80% of practices offered by per month.  *This group may have an attendance requirement.

·       Pre-Senior Group   - Attend a minimum of 75% of practices offered by per month.

·       Senior Group - Attend a minimum of 80% of practices offered by per month.  *This group may have an attendance requirement.

**Bronze Group is considered “Pre-Competitive Team” and does not have an attendance expectation. 

As DA is a year-round competitive swimming club, each member of the year-round team is expected to participate in swim meets.  

For the upcoming 2023-2024 swim season, all year-round swimmers in Silver, and Pre-Senior groups will be expected to attend a minimum of one meet per quarter (4 meets per year).  

Swimmers in Gold and Senior groups will be required to attend all meets offered for the group and swimmers time standard.

** Bronze Group is considered “Pre-Competitive Team” and does not have a swim meet expectation.  Bronze group swimmers may swim in USA Swim Meets with the coach pre-approval.
