Trident Travels to Palm Springs Competing against the Piranhas, Temecula Swim Club and Circle City Aquatics the Tridents faired very well, ganering loads of awards. In what was billed as "The Meet in the Heat", swimmers swam very fast with countless athletes swimming above 75% best times. Some swimmers even though they did not swim best times gained valuable racing experience so that they swim fast in their next meet.
Tridents Excel in Las Vegas Last weekend 11 Tridents traveled to Las Vegas . The team competed in the Winter Age Group Championships. Highlights included Mei Ling Chun winning silver in the 100 free (also winning bronze in the 100 breaststroke and 200 IM. Theresa Lo finished 4th in her 500 free dropping 6 seconds from her previous best. Theresa Lo, Lauryn Robbins, Vanessa Cheng and Mei Ling won two bronze medals in the 200 and 400 Free Relays. Meet Report What a great meet!!!!! Most Tridents had major drops in their swimming times! Some swimmers made new qualifying standards in several events for the December Invite and Spring Junior Olympics, with several swimmers making great efforts but coming up a bit short. Mei Ling Chun won several events. The biggest drop was Lexi Hopps in her 1650 dropping 49 seconds. Top honors for the boys were Michael Wang, Aron Tran and David Wang. Alec Hsing wins Two Individual Titles at Junior Olympics. At the 2009 Junior Olympics in Mission Viejo, 10 year old Alec Hsing won the 50 meter and 100 Meter breaststroke titles!!! Congratulations Alec!!!!!
Trident 14th at the 2009 Summer Junior Olympics. At the 2009 Junior Olympics, Trident finishes 14th place in the Combined, Women and Men's divisions! This is the highest that Trident has finished in its 4 years of existence. In 2008 Trident was 19th in the women and the combined and 17th in the Men. In 2007 Trident was 34th!
