Code of Conduct

As a member of the Scottsboro Swim Association community, I pledge to:

1. Show respect and sportsmanship toward all swimmers, coaches, officials, and families—both from SSA and other teams.
2. Allow coaches to coach. I will not instruct swimmers during practices or meets without approval from the coaching staff, and I will not interfere with coaches on the pool deck.
3. Set a positive example by conducting myself at practices and meets in a way that reflects well on SSA and earns the respect of others.
4. Refrain from public criticism, abusive language, or inappropriate gestures toward coaches, officials, swimmers, or families.
5. Address disagreements privately with the coaching staff or SSA leadership.
6. Support the team by volunteering my time and energy when called upon.
