Welcome to SSA!

Joining the swm team may feel overwhelming at first, but don’t worry! We’re here to help you navigate this fast-paced, fun, and sometimes chaotic sport.

SSA operates in two seasons:

• Fall–Spring SSA (Sept–April): A USA Swimming club with both Competitive and Conditioning groups.

• Summer SSA (May–July): Part of the Alabama Recreation & Parks Association (ARPA).

Many Scottsboro High School and Junior High swimmers also train and compete with SSA during our Fall–Spring and Summer seasons, but the High School Swim Team (Aug–Dec) is run by the school.

SSA has year-round coaches (not volunteers), and families pay a monthly coaching fee that is billed automatically on the 1st of each month.

If your swimmer joins USA Swimming, that membership is paid directly through a separate link sent after SSA registration.

SSA is powered by volunteers, so we require autopay to keep things running smoothly and allow our volunteers to focus on what matters most.
