Welcome to the Scottsboro Swim Association!

On behalf of our coaches and Board of Directors, we’re excited to welcome you and your swimmer to the SSA family.

SSA is designed to support swimmers ages 5–18 at all levels of competitive swimming. Our focus is on teaching strong technique, building confidence, and helping athletes reach their full potential—both in the pool and in life.

As one of the premier small-town swim teams in the Southeast, we’re proud of the community we’ve built. We serve swimmers from Scottsboro, Jackson County, and surrounding areas.

So, you’ve chosen swimming—what now?

Swimming is different from many other sports. It can include near-daily practices and requires active parent involvement. Meets are fast-paced, high-energy, and unlike anything else—often described as “track in the water.”

Your swimmer will chase personal goals and grow as a teammate. They'll practice and compete alongside a wide range of age groups, forming friendships and learning life lessons in sportsmanship, discipline, and perseverance.
