Five medals, national record for Canadians at World Cup BERLIN – Canadian swimmers enjoyed their best day so far on the 2013 FINA World Cup swimming circuit with a silver and four bronze medals to conclude the second stop. Sandrine Mainville of Montreal collected two bronze including a Canadian short course record in the women’s 100-m freestyle clocking 52.41 seconds. Canadian record, silver for Savard at World Cup BERLIN – For the second time this week Katerine Savard of Pont-Rouge, Que., won the silver medal and broke the Canadian short course record in the women’s 100-metre butterfly on Saturday to open the second stop on the FINA World Cup swimming circuit. MOSCOW, RUSSIA--The Executive Board of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) met today in Moscow. As part of the meeting, changes to the sport programs for the 2016 Olympics were considered. The Executive Board maintained its earlier decision to not increase the number of athletes nor medal events at the Games.
