Age Group (AG) Ages 9-12
EQUIPMENT REQUIRED: Kickboards, Fins, Snorkel & Pull Buoy
Swimmers in this level will practice 5 days a week
Coaches will determine when Dryland will be phased in, its frequency and place
Be committed to improving skills
Participate in condition training
Swimmers should feel comfortable training up to 90 minutes per day
Be comfortable with all four competitive strokes
To move to the Age Group Elite practice group o have good practice disciplines o furthers skill development o accepts training challenges
Swimmers will compete in league dual meets, invitational meets and end of year championship meets
Training goals ~ Flutter kick 20 x 25 : 35 ~ Swim freestyle 8 x 100 1 : 40 ~ Swim faster than 1:15 in 100 yards ~ Swim IM free 100 yards 1:30 ~ Kick-out 5 butterfly kick-offs from the wall in backstroke and butterfly
Age Group Elite (AGE) Ages 11 & Over
EQUIPMENT REQUIRED: Kickboards, Fins, Snorkel & Pull Buoy
This is the top level for the Age Group program. AGE prepares athletes for senior programs
Swimmers in this level will practice 6 days a week in short course yards and long course meters
Coaches will determine when Dryland will be phased in, its frequency and place
Swimmers must be able to perform freestyle repeats up 400 yards
Must be able to swim 100+ yards of the fly, backstroke and breaststroke with good technique
Must have a strong commitment to handle practices confidently with endurance and good technique
Swimmers must have a commitment to training and learning
Swimmers will compete in league dual meets, invitational meets and end of year championship meets
Swimmers in this group are expected to compete in USA meets
This group is limited to 30 athletes
To be eligible for this group, swimmers must have at minimum of 3 2022 AA USA Swimming 11-12 cut times
