Swim Instructors wanted for the Learn-to-Swim program.

Scott Bennett
Dear Richmond Community,

As you know, SwimRVA's mission is to Change Lives Through Aquatics.  Our Vision is to  Drownproof Richmond.  And we need your help!   Will you consider giving back to your community as a swim instructor for our Learn-To-Swim program?

The  Learn-To-Swim program provides access and opportunity to children in underprivileged communities.  It is a cost-free swim lesson program for all second graders in the Greater Richmond Region.  Our goal is to give every student in RVA the  necessary, life-saving skills of learning how to swim.  Did you know that 50% of the population does not know how to swim?  Drowning is the leading cause for accidental death in children under the age of 4.  It is number two for all children under 14.  SwimRVA is on a mission to change that.  And we want YOU to help!

Will you help us and join the movement to make  Richmond more equitable, safer, and healthier?

SwimRVA is looking for volunteer or paid swim instructors to help us reach our goal.  Our Learn-To-Swim program is held at various locations including Chesterfield (SwimRVA-CSAC), Hopewell Community Center, and Virginia State University's Daniel Gymnasium.
