SwimRVA Class 4 Rapids - JUNIOR GROUP

SwimRVA Class 4 Rapids – Junior Group is for athletes that are starting to really enjoy the sport of swimming and ready to launch to new heights. Swimmers in the Junior Group program will learn about the hidden aspects of training, competing and performing such as nutrition, sleep and time management.  Junior Group season will be designed around the end of the season meets and peak performance for maximum goal attainment. 

What to Expect: 

  • 1-hour and 30 minute practices.  Practices designed with the end of the season competition as the focus.  Practices will be a mix of high level technique, race pace training and challenging intervals.  Junior Group athletes will learn to rely on all aspects of the team from their teammates to coaches and parents for achieving ultimate success.
  • Socials designed for team-building outside of the pool
  • Newsletters about current and future success stories, topics, and events

  • Junior (small) kickboard
  • Swim cap/hair tie for long hair
  • Goggles
  • Fins (long/flexible)
  • Front snorkel
  • Pull bouy
  • Paddles

2025/2026 Practice Schedule (August 25, 2025 - June 5, 2026)

Monday, Tuesday, Friday mornings, Friday afternoon and Saturdays (when at CSAC) will be Olympic/Long Course (50 meters) workouts.  All others will be short course yards.

    • 1:45-3:15 PM (M-Th)
    • 3:20-4:50 PM (M-F)
    • 5:30-7:00 PM (M-F)

Junior Group 1&2 Fees (2025/2026)

  • $239 per month   
  • $150 registration fee (one-time, annual)
    • SwimRVA Swim Team shirt, SwimRVA Swim Team suit included.
    • USA Swimming registration not included.
      • ALL members are required to register with USA Swimming.

      • Flex Athlete: $30 for the season
        • Only for athletes 12 years old and younger
        • Two regular season meets (not including Community League meets)
        • Once you have swum two meets or are swimming a championship meet, you will have to upgrade to the Premium (pay the difference)
      • Premium Athlete: $88 for the season
        • Available for all athletes
        • Required for athletes 13 and older
        • Unlimited meets included
        • Championship-level meets
