Private Lessons: Experienced instructors will alter the class to fit the swimmers needs.  If you want private lessons and all classes are full contact Contact: Coach Rob [email protected] to see if a lesson can be added.

New to the Pool: New to the Pool is for children ages 3 to 12 years to become comfortable in the water. The goal of New to the Pool is to have the kids be comfortable in the water (put face in water, blow bubbles, learn to float, climb out of the pool, etc.).  This class will prepare them for the next levels of swim lessons.

Mini-Marlins 1:  Our most basic swim group is a step up from traditional swim lessons. MM1 is designed as an introduction to swimming in general and to help swimmers learn how to swim freestyle with proper side-breathing technique as well as learning to be comfortable floating on their back.
Requirements: Swimmers must be comfortable stepping feet first into water over their head and propelling themselves forward unassisted. Able to shove off the side and glide face down and recover to standing.

Mini-Marlins 2:  Our beginner swim group. MM2 is designed for younger swimmers new to swimming.  We will focus on conditioning their freestyle and learning a proper backstroke technique as well as learning technical basics for butterfly.
Requirements: Swimmers must be able to swim a full length, 25 meters freestyle without stopping while trying to breathe by turing head to side.  Must be comfortable floating on their back.

Mini Marlins 3:  Our program geared towards stronger young swimmers. Will focus on basic stroke development for all competitive strokes, including learning proper butterfly and breaststroke technique
Requirements: Swimmers must easily enter water and comfortably swim a 25 meter backstroke and freestyle without stopping and while demonstrating proper side-breathing.

We will run swim lessons through August at the Waynesboro War Memorial Pool in Ridgeview Park.  After Labor ay we will be back at Augusta Health.  We will only cancel if the Pool is closed.  For inclement weather contact Augusta Health at 540-332-5433 and during the summer contact the Waynesboro Pool at 540-942-6767.  Please assume Mini Marlins is happening unless you hear from a SMAC coach or if the pool is closed.
