The first of the Virginia Swimming Short Course Championship meets, the North District Championship Swim Meet, held at the Chinn Fitness & Aquatic Center in Woodbridge, VA, February 17-19, is now available for sign-ups. This is another quick turn-around, entries are due no later than Saturday evening 2/4 at midnight. This meet is for 14 & younger swimmers only. (Except 15 & older may swim the 1650 Free only) 9-14 year old swimmers may compete in any event and relay strokes in which they have a B or C Time,...

I heard several people missed the deadline for the President's classic meet. Entries were due at 5 pm today. They will be accepting additional entries on a space available basis. If you did not enter and would like to be considered, please complete your swimmers entries by tomorrow night at 5 pm and I will attempt to get these late entries added. Join Coach Cos for a scoop of ice cream if you made the honor roll. The honor roll ice cream social will be held at the Country Store this Friday, January 20th from 4:00PM-4:40PM. Due to scheduling conflicts we have had to schedule this one earlier than usual. Hope to see you there!

I heard that several people missed the deadline for the BASS meet so I have repopened through tomorrow for those of you who missed the deadline. There will be no late fees assessed if entered by the new deadline.

Sorry for the late notice, word just got out today that there is a public meeting tomorrow (November 22, 2011)at 2:00pm at the Administrator's Building in Palmyra when Parks and Rec presents their proposal to the Board of Supervisors for discussion. Public is welcome, everyone attending will have the opportunity to speak for a maximum of two minutes, although speaking is not required.

The NOVA Meet was set up incorrectly. I have reinstalled the correct events. You will need to re-enter your swimmers entries for this meet. I didn't want to assume they wanted to swim the same things since they might not be on the same days, etc.. Sorry for the confusion and thanks to the couple of parents who noticed and let me know! This meet is now available for entry. The deadline for entries is before Thanksgiving. Anyone who makes qualiftying times at the NOVA meet will be allowed to add those races as space is available. There is a limit to the number of entries they can take for this meet so we want to get our entries for established swims in prior to Thanksgiving. Please let me know if you have any questions.
