1.     All registration forms for all GBY swimmers are due by the end of the week.  I still have some returning GBY families that have not returned their forms either.  Again, all forms are due by the end of this week.  Thank you to everyone who has already taken care of these.

2.     We had a very nice turnout last evening at our new parents meeting.  It was nice meeting you all and having some time to share information about our team.  If you did not attend this meeting and are not on our email list, please send me and email so I can add you to our list.  I will need all new family emails for the Team Unify deployment.  If any new families have any questions, please contact me, or feel free to talk to one of the assistant coaches or a parent group committee member.

3.     www.teamunify.com/wigbymca  is the web address of our Team Unify web site.  Please feel free to go there and check out the page.   I do have lots of information on there as you will see.  All items such as practice schedules, meet schedules, registration forms, qualifying times, parent handbook are already there for you.  And I will always be able to add items to the page that families may need during the course of the swim seasons.  The official start date is November 8.  We will begin using the website for meet entries beginning with the Mock Meet & our GBY Sprint Meet.  After that, all swim meet entries will be done through the web site.  Please take a look at the page to start getting familiar with the layout.  All newsletters, new items and day to day notes will also be scrolled on the home page.  As we get closer to the start date, I will continue to give you updates.   When Team Unify allows me, I will invite all swim team families through their email address.  From your e-mail address, you will be creating a password.  This will get you to the site anytime and anywhere with internet access.  After you are signed in, you will then be able to go to your family and swimmer pages and update info there. (address, phone #, etc). All this information was put into your swimmer records with the old Hy-Tek Team Manager program.  And the Team Unify web site completely replaces that.  The Y will continue to look into the billing end of the page and will first begin with your escrow being done through the Team Unify site.  But that will not begin right away.   Please remember that this website is Under Construction.  I am working with a few people to help me through some things but eventually it will be the best web site you have used.

4.     Twenty seven GBY swimmers are entered in the Pabst Farms Spooktacular, this Sunday, October 30, 2011, at the Pabst Farms Y, in Oconomowoc.  Please refer to the Team Unify site for all info regarding the meet.  I also emailed everything that I received from the host team.  I will be at the meet all day.

5.     Our Team Suit sale is next Wednesday, November 2, from 5:45-8:30pm, in room 1D, at the DT Y.  Please refer to the Team Unify site for a form for ordering.

6.     Assorted Notes -

·         There is Saturday morning practice this Saturday, from 6-8pm at the BV Y.

·         I am still looking for families and swimmers to volunteer for the water station for the Turkey Trot run on Thanksgiving morning.  Contact me with names and t-shirt sizes.  Expect to be there from about 7:15-9:00am.

·         Please remember that all GBY swimmers must scan their membership card before entry in to our Y’s.  If you need a membership card, stop at any Y front desk and they can make you one.  I would suggest a key card which could be attached to the swimmer’s bag so they always have it.
