1. If you have not submitted your swimmer(s) registration forms yet, they are past due. I must have these forms turned in by the end of the week. Only registered GBY swimmers will be invited to the website.

2. www.teamunify.com/wigbymca is the web address of our Team Unify web site. We will go live next week on or about November 8. All registered GBY families will receive an invitation by email with a link that will allow you to set up family and member (swimmer) accounts. Once you have your password for access, you will be able to enter the area that will allow you to enter meets, sign-up to work at meets, swimmers’ times, etc. I will also start using the website to post the weekly newsletter. There will no longer be anything handed out. All items will be found through the website. There will be many items that get posted that will also be emailed as a reminder, but the website will handle almost everything. Please refer to the website for all information regarding the team and its events. Please let me know if there is something else you would like to have on this website. Please understand that this site is still largely under construction. All escrow and escrow billing will remain the same until we are able to convert to the website. I ask that all escrow balances please be taken care of prior to November 8.

3. Sixty GBY swimmers are entered in the FCY Fall Invite, this Friday-Sunday, November 4-6, 2011. Please refer to the Team Unify site for all info regarding the meet. FCY also has a Team Unify site that may have this info too. When I receive the heat sheets, etc. from FCY, I will post them under the meet on the team unify website. So far I have only received the timeline, which I have posted. Friday warm-ups are at 5:00pm. Saturday & Sunday AM warm-ups are at 7:00am. The morning session starts at 8:15am. It looks like afternoon warm-ups are at 11am each day. Please arrive early for all warm-ups. I will be at the meet all weekend. Coach Kari will assist me on Saturday & Sunday afternoon.

4. Assorted Notes –

· There is no practice on Friday or Saturday of this week due to the FCY meet. There will also be no practice on Friday & Saturday, November 18 & 19, due to swim meets. And there will be no practices Thursday-Sunday, November 24-26, due to Thanksgiving.

· I am still looking for families and swimmers to volunteer for the water station for the Turkey Trot run on Thanksgiving morning. Contact me with names and t-shirt sizes. Expect to be there from about 7:15-9:00am.

· Please remember that all GBY swimmers must scan their membership card before entry in to our Y’s. If you need a membership card, stop at any Y front desk and they can make you one. I would suggest a key card which could be attached to the swimmer’s bag so they always have it.

November 22 – 2^nd New Parent Informational Meeting, Southwest High School pool balcony, 5-6pm

November 24 – Turkey Trot water station – 7:15-9:00am site TBA – contact Dave to sign-up

November 24-26 – No practices, Thanksgiving

November 30 – Mock Meet, DT Y – 6:30-9:00pm

December 3 – GBY Sprint Meet, Downtown Y

December 9-11 – Schroeder Y Finalist, Schroeder Aquatic Center
