1. Team Unify is live. All registered families have received an e-mail for login info for the website. If you have not received this e-mail then the Y has not received your registration forms for 2011-2012. There are still some families who have kids swimming already who were contacted about getting their forms turned in that still have not been received. I also have a number of returning high school swimmers who have not registered.

The website is now the place for all news items, and for event sign-up and information. We are working on adding your escrow account to your page also. This should be done before the end of the year. I will ask that all families insure that you have monies in your accounts prior to entering swim meets.

Team Unify has some tutorial information available for helping you with different aspects of the page. There is also a support number you can get by clicking on their link at the bottom of the page. Please use the tutorials. They have been very useful to me for setting up our website.

The site is a long way from being complete. If there is something that I can get on the site that would be useful to the team please let me know.

As we get farther along with the site my intention will be to use the home page more as information regarding the team and our team meets for other team to have access to documents and information needed for our home meets. Most everything regarding the team’s day to day activity including events and news will be only available to our logged in families.

Currently you update all the information on your account page and your swimmer’s pages. You can already enter the Mock Meet, GBY Sprint Meet, and Y Finalist Meet. You may also sign-up for the Turkey Trot water station. And for all home meets you can also sign-up for your work assignments for the swim meets. Job sign-up is open for the GBY Sprint Meet, on December 3.

Thanks for your patience with this transition to the website.

2. Assorted Notes –

· We do have practices this Friday & Saturday AM. There are no practices next Friday or Saturday November 18 & 19, due to swim meets. And there will be no practices Thursday-Sunday, November 24-26, due to Thanksgiving. Please refer to the practice group calendar on the web site for all practice information.

· There will be no dry land this Monday for either Silver or Gold groups due to the Parent Group Meeting and the home Packer Game. Coach Bill will coach the later Gold I & II workout on Monday night.

· I am still looking for families and swimmers to volunteer for the water station for the Turkey Trot run on Thanksgiving morning. You may sign-up on the web site. Please put t-shirt sizes needed in the note area. Expect to be there from about 7:15-9:00am. Our location again will be at Calvary Lutheran Church on Ridge Road about 6 blocks north of the stadium.

· Please remember that all GBY swimmers must scan their membership card before entry in to our Y’s. If you need a membership card, stop at any Y front desk and they can make you one. I would suggest a key card which could be attached to the swimmer’s bag so they always have it.

December 17 – DCY Jingle Bell Meet, Sturgeon Bay Y

December 21 – Holiday Relays, DT Y, 6:30-8:00pm
