1.     Thanks to everyone for getting acquainted with the Team website.  I see many people entering meets.  All meet entries are now done on the website.  And all meet entries have a registration deadline.  Once the deadline is reached there will be no more entries excepted.  I will try to get meets on the website as soon as I receive them.  I also will begin to close sections of the website off except to those who have logged in.  Thus most events related to the team you will have to log in for.  Again if you are having some difficulties try using the tutorials.  They have been very helpful to me.

2.     Door County Jingle Event is on the website and opened for entries.  Entry deadline is Tuesday, December 6.  I did send everyone an e-mail to alert you of this meet.

3.     The Schroeder Y Finalist entry has been sent in.  The entry list & entry report are posted on the event page. Keep looking at the Y Finalist event site for additional information.  Schroeder’s website will post the heat sheets. 

4.     We had a very nice turnout at the 2^nd new parent informational meeting last night.  I hope that the information passed along was very helpful. 

5.     Our Mock Meet is next Wednesday, November 30.  All parents should be in pool balcony at 6:15pm and swimmers on the deck with the coaches also at 6:15pm.  I will post all the info regarding this meet on the website under that event beginning next Monday.  Our Sprint meet is next Saturday, December 3, 2011.  Deadline to enter these two meets and sign-up for a job will close at midnight Sunday, November 27.  All information regarding the Sprint meet will be on the web site beginning next Monday.

6.     Assorted Notes –

·         Please remember that all GBY swimmers must scan their membership card before entry in to our Y’s.  If you need a membership card, stop at any Y front desk and they can make you one.  I would suggest a key card which could be attached to the swimmer’s bag so they always have it. 

·         No practices November 24-26, due to the Thanksgiving Holiday.  These are all reflective on the GBY calendar on the website.

·         GBY swimmers may still order team suits, etc from Walter’s at any time.  Walter’s will be selling at our Sprint Meet next Saturday.  Both the Speedo Logo and Walters Logo will link you to Walter’s Swim Supplies for all contact information.  Walter’s will have the remaining items at the meet next Saturday. Joe usually sets up around 7:30am.

·         Team picture will be taken on Wednesday, December 21, 2011.  Check this event on the website.  As I get more info I will post it on the website.

·         The message service has been cancelled.  All notes & alerts will be done through the webpage.
