  1. The website does have your escrow invoices available.  They are under your account pages.  Please ensure that you are putting ample monies in your account to cover upcoming meets.  During our year end audit of the escrow account we discovered that we never charged our families for the Pabst Farms meet in October so those charges are also on the statement.  You still will make all payments to the DT Y front desk.  Payments should be posted to your account within a day or so of making payment.  Meet charges will usually appear the Monday or Tuesday after the meet.  Again please ensure that you are keeping ample monies in your escrow account.  I will also let all families know that any negative balances must be paid by the end of the month.  The system will eventually not allow you meet entry access with a balance on your statement.   A positive balance in your statement will appear as $-100.  So please be aware.  If there is not a negative sign then it is what you owe the YMCA for your escrow.  Please check your statements today and make sure that you are paid up and also have monies for all upcoming meets.  I have been posting the entry fee report on the website so you are aware of what you will be charged for a swim meet.

 

I also would ask that all families check and double check their meet entries.  After I complete and entry is not the time to notice that you made a mistake.  We are now under the policy that NO ENTRIES WILL BE ACCECPTED AFTER A DEADLINE. THIS ALSO WILL INCLUDE ANY MISTAKES THAT YOU MAKE WHILE ENTERING YOUR SWIMMERS. If you have any questions about a meet entry contact me before the deadline.  And I again would ask that you not contact me after a meet deadline for an entry or correction.  Thank you.

 

  1. All families should be entering into our Winter Open, January 20-22, 2012.  This entry deadline is Sunday, January 15th.  All families must also provide worker(s) for this meet.  The job sign-up will be open until Thursday, January 19.  Again if you do not work the meet you will be charged double entry fees for the entire meet.  The NFL also announced that the NFC Championship Game kick-off is not until 5:30pm on Sunday, January, 22.  Our meet will be concluded hopefully by 3pm. 

 

  1. Seventy eight GBY swimmers are entered in the Oshkosh Mid-Winter Invite this Saturday & Sunday, January 7&8, 2012, at the Oshkosh Y.    www.oshyswimteam.org  This is the web address for the Oshkosh Y swim team.  Heat sheets and warm-up assignments will be posted here.  I was told sometime on today.  Our morning warm-ups are scheduled for 7:55-8:20am, meet starting at 8:30am.  PM warm-ups are scheduled for 10:45am, with the meet starting at 11:45pm both days.  Please be early for all warm-ups.  Print your own heat sheets for this meet.  They will be on the website above.  I will be at the meet all weekend with and assistant coach each day.  Map to pool is on website. 

 

  1. Assorted Notes

·         There will be no practices next Friday, January 13, either AM or PM due to the swim meets. 

·         Please remember that all GBY swimmers must scan their membership card before entry in to our Y’s.  If you need a membership card, stop at any Y front desk and they can make you one.  I would suggest a key card which could be attached to the swimmer’s bag so they always have it. 

·         Winter reminder – All swimmers should be dressing properly for the weather.  Including a winter coat, hat and no shorts.  I will try to monitor this when I can but please ensure that your kids are dressed properly for the weather.
