Re:    1) 2012 Strong Kids Swim-A-Long  2)  USA Regional Meet  3)  Team Unify 4) Assorted Notes

1.    Tonight is the Swim-A-Long.  Gold session is 4-6pm at SWHS. Bronze & Silver is 6:30-8:00pm at the DT Y pool.  Please bring your envelopes with you.  If you need your envelope back we will give it to you at the end of the night at DT Y.  And all others will get them from me tomorrow.  We would like all envelopes returned by next Thursday, February 23.  You may return these to Coach Dave or drop off at the DT Y front desk.

Also a reminder to our calling teams – Please finish making sure phone calls and turn in all additional pledge envelopes to Coach Dave or the DT Y front desk.

Thank you to everyone for your donations, hard work and commitment to the 2012 Green Bay YMCA Strong Kids campaign.

2.    Thirty three GBY swimmers are participating in the USA Regional at the Fond Du Lac Aquatic Center. Friday warm-up is at 4:30pm, meet starts at 5:35pm. Saturday & Sunday AM session warm-ups are at 7:00am, meet starts at 8:05am.  Saturday PM warm-ups are at 11:30am, and meet starts at 12:45pm. Sunday PM warm-ups are at 10:40am, meet starts at 11:50am.  Please be early for all warm-up sessions. I will be at the meet all weekend.  I have posted the time line on the website.  Otherwise I have not received anything else from the host team.

Those swimmers making additional qualifying times for the USA State meets have until Sunday midnight to update your entry.  12&under entry is due on Monday.  I will update all times from the weekend’s meet prior to sending the entries in.

3.    I am still finding and correcting some problems with the Team Unify website.  Please let me know in the message boxes if the seed times are incorrect.  I will make sure that I have the best time out there.

Also I have corrected the Y State and USA State meets to enforce the entry times.   Please go back and check these entries to ensure that you have entered events that you qualified for.  The fines at USA State are now $200 if you cannot prove the time.

I will continue to work with team unify to get all of the bugs out.

Please check entry deadlines for FCY “Everyone Counts Meet” and Oshkosh “Last Chance Meet” These deadlines are approaching.  These two meets are for ALL Team members especially our newer team members.  The USA State Meet and Y State Meet are for swimmers who have achieved the qualifying times.

4.    Assorted Notes

·        There is No Friday afternoon practice or Saturday AM practice this week.

·        Please remember that there will team meetings for both the Silver & Gold III team, and for the Gold I & II swimmers on Thursday. Silver & Gold III will be at 5:30pm, and Gold I & II will be at 6:30pm on the pool deck.  Parents are welcome to attend.

·        Please check your escrow accounts on your account page.  Please ensure that you have all monies in your escrow account for upcoming meets.  I have all charges through the Dolphin/FCY meet in the system.  So please check your invoices and get monies in your accounts ASAP to cover all upcoming meets.  DID YOU KNOW – You may call the DT Y front desk business staff (Kathy & Mary) and put money into your escrow account over the phone with your credit card.  Please call right away to take care of all escrow balances and to put additional monies into your account.  Thank you!!

·        Please remember that all GBY swimmers must scan their membership card before entry in to our Y’s.  If you need a membership card, stop at any Y front desk and they can make you one.  I would suggest a key card which could be attached to the swimmer’s bag so they always have it.

·        Winter reminder – All swimmers should be dressing properly for the weather.  Including a winter coat, hat and no shorts.  I will try to monitor this when I can but please ensure that your kids are dressed properly for the weather.
