  1. Oshkosh Last Chance Meet -  Seventy GBY swimmers are attending the Oshkosh Y Last Chance Meet this Sunday, March 11.  I have not received any warm-up times yet.  Oshkosh will also post heat sheets for this meet also.  Please keep an eye on our web site.  I will post these things as I receive them.  Do not forget that Sunday is Daylight Savings Time.
  2. Y State – The entry page closes Sunday night for the Y State Meet. Please have your entries finalized by then.  I have already posted the tentative relays.  Relays are subject to change up until the relay swims.  Please make sure that even if you are swimming only a relay that you have committed to attend this meet on the website.  Please stay posted to Schroeder website for all information regarding the Y State Meet.  You also have until Sunday night to order a Y State shirt on the website.
  3. Y Nationals – The following swimmers are qualified and attending the Y National meet. John, Thomas & Theresa Bushman, Erika Jensen, Ryan Scripp, Jared Klika, Katie Bouguignon, & Kristin Zablocki.  The boys have all the relays qualified and the girls have one relay qualified.  There may be a couple of swimmers who may be needed to fill relay positions.  If you will attend the meet to swim a relay then please commit to attend the meet on the web site.  After Y State I will get the hotels squared away also.  Please make sure that if you need a room that I have the dates and a credit card number.  Please also note if you are not staying at the team hotel. The registration deadline for this meet is next Sunday, March 18.
  4. Next Week’s practice schedule – Only those swimmers attending Y State will practice.  All Gold I&II practices remain the same.  I will have team meetings on both Monday and Thursday at BV for these groups.  Monday we will meet at 6:15pm, and Thursday at 6:30pm.  There is no Friday afternoon practice. Silver and Gold III swimmers will practice at their same times on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.  They will also have team meetings during their dry land times on Monday & Thursday.  For any Bronze swimmer going to Y State you will practice with the Silver on Tuesday from 5-6pm.  The Bronze and Silver will practice together on Wednesday from 6:30-7:45pm at the DT Y pool. And Thursday, Bronze swimmers will practice with the Silver from 4:30-5:30pm at the DT Y pool and will also need to attend the team meeting from 5:30-5:50pm after the workout.  All my 11-over Y State swimmers should attend the 4-6pm workout at SWHS so that we may work on relay starts.
  5. Y National Team practices – After Y State those swimmers attending Y Nationals as well as swimmers registered to practice year round will have the following practice times. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday – 3:45-5:30pm, DT Y. Wednesday – 6:30-8:30pm. DT Y. We will also practice Saturday, March 24, 6-8am, BV Y. 
  6. Stroke Clinics – Beginning Wednesday, April 11, we will run our Spring Stroke Clinics.  I have clinics set up for younger swimmers on Monday & Thursday, 4:15-5:30pm at the DT Y. For our Gold swimmers clinics will be from 7-8:30pm, at BV on Monday & Thursday, and DT on Wednesday.  I will send out a complete schedule with topics soon and you will also be able to find this on the Workout calendar on the website.  Cost of Stroke Clinics is $5.00 a session. This will be charged to your escrow account in early May.  Those swimmers who registered to include stroke clinics will not be charged.
  7. Assorted Notes

·        Spring/Summer practices will begin on Wednesday, May 9th. Schedule will be posted on the website soon.  I will also post the Summer meet schedule very soon.

·        Swim Team Banquet – Friday, May 11, at the Riverside Ballroom.  More information and sign-up will be available soon on the website.

·        Spring Parent Meeting -  Tuesday, May 8, at the DT Y from 6:30-8:30pm.  All parents should attend the meeting. 

·        Please ensure that all escrow balances for season are taken care of my March 23rd.  I will have the Y State and Y National charges in by Tuesday, March 19.
