· We have 55 people signed up for the water station this Sunday, May 20, 2012. I could use about 25 more. (And many people said they would help but did not sign-up). I did order 80 t-shirts so I will have extra t-shirts the morning of or will try to get them to you this week during practices. I will be handing shirts out tonight. For the event. I would like everyone to be there by 6am ready to start (S0 PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY!!) Our water station is located at Marquette Park on Hickory Hill Dr. (about 4 blocks east of Oneida Street north of Lambeau). Do not park on Hickory Hill Dr. Park on any of the streets off of Hickory Hill. We have a few new things happening so please ensure that you are there and ready for instructions at 6am. For help with clean-up if a few people could bring along rakes and snow shovels that will help us to pick up quicker when all the runners have gone through. We are expecting a warm day so we will need to be prepared to serve lots of drinks. We will begin to start see runners about 7:08am and should have most all through by 7:45am. Clean-up with everyone’s help should not take too long. Please remember that you are invited to the finish line for food and drink. You must wear your volunteer shirt. Thanks for everyone’s help with this fun event!
· All charges through the Stroke Clinics and Awards Banquet are on your escrow accounts now. Please check your balances. Please ensure that all balances are taken care of ASAP. Please also ensure that you ample monies in your account for your June swim meets. Thank you to everyone for handling these matters promptly.
· Our Friday Night 50’s swim meet is quickly approaching. The entry and worker sign-up are open. Please make sure that you get entered and signed up for a work assignment. Families with multiple workers please make sure that you give us the name of who is working each job. Not just the family name. You just need to put the worker’s name in the contact box and that will appear on the worker sign-up. Please remember that we will always take high school age kids that wish to volunteer to get their service hours. Please sign these types of the same way.
· As always we would like to run a fun raffle with goody basket giveaways at the end of the meet. We again ask that families please help us out by donating these baskets. “Theme” baskets are always good. Gift cards that are kid appropriate are good prizes too. We will put a box down at the DT Y front desk around a week before the meet for families to drop these off. Thank you very much for helping with the prizes for the meet.
· Assorted Notes-
a. I have posted the Pabst Farm entry. Our numbers came out fine. As we get closer to the meet I will post more info when I have it.
b. Entries are opened up for both the FCY meets at Erb Park. I am still waiting for the event file for the WGLO meet.
c. There is Saturday AM practice this Saturday, May 19, 6-8am, BV Y. These are open to Gold I and invited Gold II swimmers.
d. Please remember that all GBY swimmers age 8&over must has a Y membership card to enter our YMCA’s. Please stop by any Y front desk if you a need a new one made up. Please bring your card so that our front desk staff do not have to manually enter you into the facility.
