Re: 1) Pabst Farms Summer Classic 2) Friday Night 50’s 3) Assorted notes
1) Twenty two GBY swimmers are attending the Pabst Farms Summer Classic meet at the Schroeder Aquatic Center. I have all warm-up time and start times posted on the website. I also have a copy of the entry posted there. Please ensure that you arrive early for all warm-up sessions so that we may get a lane to warm-up. I will be at the meet all weekend.
2) The entry page closes next Wednesday, June 6, for our Friday Night 50’s meet. The job sign-up closes on Wednesday, June 13. All GBY swimmers should be participating in this meet. All GBY parents are needed to work this meet. There are still a lot of holes on the job sign-up sheet so please get in there and get signed up. Please make sure that you sign your name for the job you will do.
We are also asking that all families consider donating a gift basket or gift card which will be given out to the meet participants after the meet. You may begin dropping these gift baskets or gift cards off at the DT Y front desk at any time. We have a box there for these items. Thank you for donating a gift basket or gift card.
3) Assorted notes –
· Due to the meet this Friday, Saturday & Sunday there will be no Friday afternoon practice.
· The entry page closes tomorrow night for the FCY Summer Classic meet (June 23-24). The entry page for the FCY Birdbath Invite closes on Sunday, June 10. Please make sure that you get signed up for these meets if you want to attend.
· Please remember your membership cards when you are entering our YMCA’s. If you need a new card you may stop at any Y front desk and they will make you a new one.
· Thank you for everyone for keeping ample monies in your escrow accounts to cover all upcoming meets in June. Remember that you may put money in your accounts with credit card by calling the DT Y front desk and speak to a business staff. You can always stop at the DT Y front desk to add monies also.
· Next week through Thursday will be our existing practice schedule. Beginning Friday, June 8, we will begin our summer practice schedule. The summer practice schedule is posted on our website. They already have put water in Colburn Park Pool so hopefully by Monday, June11 it will be good to practice in. Hope for hot & sunny days which should help to warm it up for us.
· There are still openings for the summer Silver Shark program for new competitive swimmers. The Silver Sharks practices at the same time as the Bronze group and begins on Tuesday, June 12.
