Sunday, my 2nd day has passed.  John arrived and we got our first workout in the main competition pool in the late afternoon.  I had to attend the coaches meeting yesterday.  Lots of rules and guidelines.  One the first to mention - was no autographs or photos.  Or more importantly, do not bother the top swimmers.  Ran into a few former Olympians back to try to make another Olympic Team.  Matt Grevers, who I have met a few times over the years was very friendly and I actually got a chance to introduce John to him also.  He was a Silver Medalist in 2008 in the 100 Back and is trying to make the team again.  Also saw Amanda Beard & Katie Hoff today, both who have been Olympians before. 

Going over shortly for the Morning Prelims.  They begin each morning at 10am.  Today we have the Mens 400 IM, 400 Free, 100 Breast, and Womens 100 Fly & 400 IM.   Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte are swimming the 400 IM.  The real race will be tonight when they contest the Finals of that race. Tonight will also be the finals of women's 400 IM and men's 400 Free. And also the semi-final races of the other events swam today.   So tomorrow night will be the finals of the men's 100 Breast & women's 100 Fly.

Also a picture of where they will post the Olympic Team as they make the team.  And just a shot of the coaches meeting.  I arrived early so I could get a good seat in the back of the room.  But did sit next to a couple of the top YMCA swim coaches in the country.

I look forward to seeing the results of FCY meet.  Hope our GBY swimmers had a great weekend.
