1. Joe and Dave from Walter’s Swim Supplies will be here at the DT tonight, November 7.  They will be set up in room 1D, from 5:30-8:00pm.  The order form is on the website on the event list
2. We again will have a team bowling party during the Holiday break. This year’s event is scheduled for Thursday evening, December 27.  I will put a sign-up on the website shortly.  All GBY swimmers and families are invited to attend.  Cost will be $14.25 per person. That will include bowling, shoes, pizza and soda.  People may also sign up for pizza and soda only at a cost of $8.25. This event is held at Pro Bowl in Howard.

Assorted Notes

• We need volunteers to help with the water station for the Turkey Trot run on Thanksgiving morning.  The sign-up is open on the website.  Please give me names and t-shirt sizes. This can all be done under one swimmer.  Time will be from 7am to about 9am.  We have a record sign-up for this event so need lots of people.  Thanks for helping out.
• There will be both a Friday afternoon Gold practice this week as well as a Gold II practice on Saturday AM at BV.
• Park & Rec has asked us to move our Tuesday, December 11 practices from SWHS to Edison Middle School. The Green Bay United Boys high school team is going to host a meet at SWHS that evening. 
• Please ensure that everyone is keeping up with the Team events on the calendar. 
• Parent Group committee meetings have been moved to the first Mondays of the Month. Exception being December where we will move that meeting back to November 26 to meet before our December 1 Sprint Meet. These Parent Group Committee meetings are on the website calendar. Next meeting is Monday, November 26.
• We have scheduled our annual awards banquet for Friday, May 10, at the Riverside Ballroom.  Please get this on your calendars right away.  We will do a sign-up for this on the website.
• Please ensure that you have monies in your escrow account to cover all upcoming swim meets.  Thank you for taking care of this ahead of the charges.
• A reminder to all GBY swimmers.  The only swim cap acceptable at meets is a GBY cap.  This includes are standard Blue cap but also includes the Yellow and Green Hats that have GBY on them too.  Also expected is for all swimmers to wear a team suit or an acceptable tech suit. Dark, one color is recommended on tech suits.  I have ordered more silicon hats and they should be here in about 3 weeks.  We still have latex caps available for sale at the DT Y front desk for $3.00 each.
• A reminder that all GBY swimmers ages 8&over must scan their membership upon entry to all Green Bay YMCA’s.  If you need a new card stop at the front desk and have them make you a new one.  It is very time consuming especially during the rush around team practices to have to stop and type in your information manually to make sure you are a member. Thank you for taking care of this matter.
• REMINDER - All swimmers should be showering before using any pool for practices.  This can be a big help with the air quality.  Thank you for doing this.
