1)      Sign-up for the GBY Awards Banquet closes this Sunday night, May 5.  All information regarding the banquet is on the website.  All Gold swimmers should be returning their Lowell Jorgenson ballots to Coach Dave by Thursday, May 9.  Should be a great evening for the team and families.  All GBY swimmers will be recognized for being on the team.  See you there.

2)      We still need many more volunteers to help at our water station for the Cellcom Marathon, Sunday AM, May 19.  I will take as many volunteers as we can.  All Gold swimmers should volunteer.  I will also take any swimmers age 12&over to volunteer too. Younger swimmers are welcome to volunteer but would appreciate that a parent volunteer with them.  All volunteers will receive a t-shirt and have access to all activities at the finish line area including food and drink.  Our water station this year is going to video taped this year for presentation to future water station volunteers as a demonstration on how we set up, run our station and then clean up afterwards.  This is a great compliment to all of us who have volunteered in the past for this fun event.  Please make sure that you sign-up by Sunday night, May 12.

3)      Tonight are the last clinics for the Spring.  Flip turns are the subject tonight with both a session from 4-5:30pm at the DT Y pool, and 7-8:30pm at the BV Y pool.  Spring/Summer practices begin next Wednesday, May 8.  All practices for the Spring/Summer season are posted on the calendar on the website.  I also have the meet schedule up on the events tab on the website.

4)      All clinics will be charged to your escrow accounts early next week.  I will also charge all banquet fees to your escrow account next week.  Please ensure that all families have ample monies in their accounts to cover these charges.

6)      Assorted Notes

·         Parent Group committee meetingshave been moved to the first Mondays of the Month. Next meeting is Monday May 6, 2013 at 5:30pm in the 2^nd floor lobby area of the DT Y.

·         GBY swim families have the opportunity to participate in a scrip program to help raise monies for your escrow accounts.  A power point presentation is posted on the website (under documents tab) to explain the whole program and to allow you to get involved with the Scrip program.  Thank you to the GBY Gymnastics Team for allowing us to join in with their program.
