1)      Marathon Water Station is this Sunday AM. We can still use more people.  All volunteers will need to be at Marquette Park (Hickory Hill Dr) by 6am for set-up and training.  Runners will come through our station between about 7:09am – 7:45am.  Clean-up takes about a ½ hour and we should be completed by 8:15am.  I will try to get shirts handed out at practices next Wednesday-Friday or I will have all the remaining shirts at the water station sight.  Contact Coach Dave if you would like to help or pick shirts up at practices from Coach Dave.

2)      Pabst Farms entry closes Sunday night.   Please look at all entry deadlines to ensure you do not miss a meet.  The FCY meets are both open as is our Friday Night 50’s entry and worker sign-up.  I have not gotten an entry file from Lake Country yet for the WGLO meet.  I will e-mail that out as soon as posted.

3)      Swimmer’s Camp and Uni.  Camp Uni has scheduled the Swim Team Camp, Monday-Wednesday, August 19-21.  We will need (4) female chaperones and (2) male chaperones to stay with the campers.  Please parents if you able to help or have more questions please contact me.  Camp Registration will be out later in the summer. 

4)      All clinics and the banquet were charged to your escrow accounts this week. We also discovered that the DCY Hawaiian Meet was never charged and that was done in April.  Please ensure that all families have ample monies in their accounts to cover these charges as well as the upcoming meets in June

5)      http://surveys.ymcaexchange.org/f/173030/aa16/   Here is the link to fill out a survey regarding possible renovation of the Downtown Y.  Because Y Swim Team members and their families are regular users of the DT Y your feedback is truly needed to complete this survey.  Thank you for taking a few minutes to complete this survey.

7)      Assorted Notes

·         Parent Group committee meetingshave been moved to the first Mondays of the Month. Next meeting is Monday June 3, 2013 at 5:30pm in the 2^nd floor lobby area of the DT Y.  We will not have Parent meetings in July or August so the next would be Sept 9, 2013 Labor Day is Sept 2.

·         There will be a Saturday morning Gold I & II workout at BV, from 6-8am.  We will also have Saturday AM practices next weekend.

·         Please take a look at the event calendar.  Entries are open for the Pabst Farms Meet, both FCY meets and our Friday Night 50’s meet.  Please make sure that you get entered by the deadline.

·         Gift baskets and Gift Cards are needed for our Friday Night 50’s meet.  We have drawings at the conclusion of our Friday Night 50’s meet and we need donations of “Themed” Gift Baskets and various gift cards that the swimmers in the meet would enjoy.  Please drop all items off for Coach Dave at the DT Y front desk beginning June 10.  Thanks for helping out and making this meet a great success.

·         GBY swim families have the opportunity to participate in a scrip program to help raise monies for your escrow accounts.  A power point presentation is posted on the website (under documents tab) to explain the whole program and to allow you to get involved with the Scrip program.  Thank you to the GBY Gymnastics Team for allowing us to join in with their program.

·         Reminder to all GBY swimmers to have their membership cards upon entry into any Y.

·         Reminder to all GBY swimmers to take soap showers before entering any Y pool.
