Re: 1) Escrow Accounts 2) OSHY Make A Difference Meet 3) USA State Meets 4) Summer Team Championship Meet 5) Swimmer’s Camp Update 7) Upcoming Events 7) Assorted Notes
1) Escrow Accounts – The YMCA has over $2000 owed in escrow balances from about 20 families. Many of these families are participating in the USA State Meets and will have more charges added by the conclusion of those meets. Please take care of all balances by the end of the month. There are no charges for the OSHY Meet or our GBY Team Championship Meet. There will still be charges for those swimming in the USA State Meets so ensure that you have ample monies to cover those entry expenses also. Thank you to everyone for handling all of these escrow matters promptly
2) OSHY MAD Meet – The entry has been sent in to OSHY. I would expect to hear information about this meet at the end of the week. I would recommend that you refer to the OSHY website for the most current posted info. As I receive it I will post it on our website. Do not forget that you must bring school supplies as your entry fees for the meet. A list of recommended supplies is on the webpage for this meet. I will attend this meet myself.
3) USA State Meets – Deadline for entering both of these meets closes Sunday night, July 21. Please make sure that you get entered by the deadline. The 12&under entry is due Monday. I would refer to SWAT’s website for the most up to date information on the meet. The 13&over is due a little later in the week. More information about both meets when I receive it. I am attending both of these meets.
4) GBY Summer Team Championship Meet – This entry page is open. All GBY swimmers should participate. We will also have our summer Silver Sharks participating. We will need parents to run the computer and timing system and to time. We also need parents to officiate. Swimmers pleased get entered by the deadline.
5) Swimmer’s Camp at Camp Uni – I did announce that we would try to have another swim team camp up at Camp Uni, Aug 19-21. We cannot have this event unless we get some parents to help chaperone the campers. We will need 4 female and 2 male parents to chaperone. I have had only two contacts regarding chaperones. Camp’s deadline is Friday, July 19, to have our chaperones in place, if we do we will get the registration forms out right away or if we do not have enough volunteers by July 19 we will cancel the camp. Please let me know ASAP if you can volunteer for the camp.

A power point presentation is posted on the website (under documents tab) to explain the whole program and to allow you to get involved with the Scrip program. Thank you to the GBY Gymnastics Team for allowing us to join in with their program.
