1) All registration forms were due last Thursday, October 31. Thank you to all families who have turned in their registration forms. All new families should have received an e-mail invite to gain your access to the website. Please contact me by e-mail if you have not received this invite. Please check all the information that I entered to make sure that it is correct. You may add as many e-mail addresses as you like to receive all correspondence sent from the website. If you have not turned in your registration forms please do so ASAP. Contact Coach Dave if there are any questions. All registration forms are on the website.
2) Team Suit Sale – TONIGHT, November 6, 5:45-8:00p, room 1D – Joe from Walter’s Swim Supplies will be here for our annual team suit sale. Team suits, bags, warm-ups, etc may be purchased or ordered from Walter’s. Walter’s will also have a huge inventory of goggles for sale as well as practices suits. The price and order form are under the Documents tab/odds&ends on the website.
3) Tuesdays night practices begin next week at Southwest High School Pool. - All practice groups will begin Tuesday practices next Tuesday, November 12, at SWHS Pool. Bronze 4-5pm, Silver 5-6:30pm, and Gold 6:30-8:30pm. The entrance to pool is right around the back side of the school from the main parking lot. Enter through the glass doors. The balcony will be opened on Tuesday for those parents wishing to wait while the groups are practices. Please respect this pool and the locker rooms. Please do not be anywhere except in the pool area or balcony. Team members should not spend a lot of time in the locker rooms. All Gold swimmers should be picked up by 8:40pm. Please ensure that someone to pick up your swimmers is there by 8:40pm. We also will begin the Gold practices next Wednesday, November 13 at SWHS from 4-6pm.
4) This sign-up is now open on the website forThe Parent Group Sub-committee. A parent from each family should sign-up for a sub-committee. The Parent Group member overseeing this sub-committee will contact you sometime in the near future. Early November at the latest. The sub-committees are as follows 1) Meet Equipment Committee 2) Meet Committee 3) Meet Food Service Committee 4) Social/New Parent Committee 5) Financial/Fundraising Committee 6) Marketing Committee 7) Recognition/Awards Banquet Committee 8) Senior/National Team Committee.
5) We are still in need of three parents to join the Parent Group Committee. Please contact me if interested. A parent is needed to oversee the Food Service Committee, Marketing Committee, and Senior/National Team Committee.
6) The sign-up for the Turkey Trot water station is opened. Thanksgiving morning. Time for this should be from about 7-9am. I need names and t-shirt sizes for the sign-up. This is on the events list. All swimmers and their parents and other family members are welcome to help out. Thanks for helping with this event.

8) Assorted Notes
· There will be both a Friday afternoon Gold workout and a Saturday AM Gold II workout this week, November 8 & 9. Coach Bill will run the Friday and Saturday AM workouts next week (November 15 & 16). The following week due to both the OSHY Champion Meet and the WGLO week there will not be any Friday or Saturday AM workouts (November 22 & 23). And no practices Thursday-Saturday, November 28-30, due to Thanksgiving.
· The Oshkosh Champion Meet entry closes Sunday night, November 10.Please make sure that you get signed up by the deadline. The WGLO entry was posted Monday. Please ensure that if attending this meet that you check your entries closely. I did make some changes and additions.
· The GBY Sprint Meet entry page and job sign-up are opened up. I will open up the Mock Meet entry page very soon. For the Mock Meet all families will work in the job that they sign up for in the Sprint Meet.
· 2nd New Parent Information meeting will be Tuesday, November 26, from 5-6pm, in the SWHS Balcony. We will talk about meet entries, home meet responsibilities, and escrow.
· The Next Parent Group Committee is Monday night, November 11, 2013. All Parent Group Committees are held from 5:30-7:00pm, in the 2nd floor lobby area of the DT Y.
· Please remember to scan your membership cards when entering any YMCA
· Please remember to take a soap shower before entering any YMCA pool.
· Please remember that the GBY swim team is a part of the GBY Gymnastics Scrip program. If any family is interested in earning some extra money for their escrow accounts should check out the Scrip program. Scrip information is under the documents tab on the web site.
· Many meet entries are already opened. Please make sure that you get entered into meets by the deadline.
· Please ensure that you keep ample monies in your escrow accounts. A swimmer will not be entered in a meet unless they have the monies in their escrow account to cover the meet fees. All escrow fees may be paid at the DT Y front desk, or by calling the DT Y front desk to pay by phone. Thank you to everyone for keeping up with your escrow accounts. All information for your escrow account may be found under your account page on the website.
