1)      Next Wednesday night is our GBY Mock Meet – All swimmers will meet with the assistant coaches at 6:30pm on the pool deck.  All GBY Parents will meet above the pool in the hallway at 6:30pm.  New parents will get a quick tour of the building.  After the tour all parents should meet with the meet director to talk about their work assignments for the Sprint Meet.  Some workers such as timers and computer/timing system people will have to work the Mock Meet.   Entry deadline is Sunday night for both the Mock & Sprint Meet.  I will post the entry list on Monday afternoon.  Check this over carefully.   I will post the heat sheet and final entry list by Tuesday afternoon.  I will do the same for the Sprint meet and post heat sheets, etc by Wednesday afternoon.  I will have a timeline by then also.  AM swimmers and parents will need to be at the DT Y Pool for Sprint Meet set-up at 6:30am.  PM people will get an arrival time on Wednesday when the heat sheets are posted.  PM swimmers and parents will need to tear down when the meet concludes.  All Gold Swimmers are responsible for the clean-up of the pool deck, balcony, locker rooms, 1D and the large gym.  Keep posted to the website for more information.  Make sure you get signed up for your meet job.

2)      We are hosting a Level 1 Officials training next Friday, 5-9pm in room 1D of the DT Y.  Sign-up information is on the website.  Contact Coach Dave if you plan to take this training.

3)      GBY apparel will be handed out at today’s practices and also next Wednesday at the Mock Meet.  Please make sure you pick up your items.

4)      Thanks to those volunteers helping tomorrow at the Turkey Trot water station.  Please arrive at the Calvary Lutheran Church parking lot at 7:00am.  I will have the shirts there.  Dress warmly and throw your shirt over all of that.  We should be concluded by 9:00am.  Training and directions will be given at 7:15am.

5)      I extended the sign-up for Parent Sub-committees until December 8 -  After December 8 those who did not sign-up will be put where needed.  You should be contacted my your Parent Committee leader soon.

6)      Personalized cap deadline is Sunday night, December 1.  So far we have 36 caps ordered but need 48 caps.

8)      Assorted Notes

·        There will be No Thursday - Saturday practices this week due to the Thanksgiving Holiday.  Happy Thanksgiving.

·        Make sure you are checking deadline dates for meet entries and other team events.– Please check the website as often as possible to keep up with meet entry deadlines and deadlines for other team events. The Mock Meet, Sprint Meet, DCY Jingle Bell Meet, USA Registration and Personalized caps all end Sunday night, December 1.

·        The Next Parent Group Committee is Monday night, December 2.  All Parent Group Committees are held from 5:30-7:00pm, in the 2^nd floor lobby area of the DT Y.  Parent Group committee members are Lynn Anderson – Facilitator, Jill Zablocki – Meet Director, Annjie and Mark Nowak – Food Service, Bob Howe & Amy Wolf – Equipment, Tim Van Gheem – Financial, Heidi Neverman – Awards Banquet & Recognition, Scott & Heidi Socha – Social & New Family,  Jeff & Beth Gahnz -  Marketing, Open – Senior/National Team.

·        Please remember to scan your membership cards when entering any YMCA

·        Please remember to take a soap shower before entering any YMCA pool.

·        Please remember that the GBY swim team is a part of the GBY Gymnastics Scrip program.  If any family is interested in earning some extra money for their escrow accounts should check out the Scrip program.  Scrip information is under the documents tab on the web site.

·        Many meet entries are already opened.  Please make sure that you get entered into meets by the deadline.

·        Please ensure that you keep ample monies in your escrow accounts.  A swimmer will not be allowed to enter in a meet unless they have the monies in their escrow account to cover the meet fees. The website is set up to make sure that you have monies in your account when you enter a meet.  All escrow fees may be paid at the DT Y front desk, or by calling the DT Y front desk to pay by phone. Thank you to everyone for keeping up with your escrow accounts. Please do not wait until it is too late to get money into your account.  All information for your escrow account may be found under your account page on the website.
