1. Start of Spring/Summer Season – Next Wednesday is the first day of Spring/Summer Practices.  The calendar is updated for the Spring & Summer.  A reminder about group placements.  Our upper level Bronze swimmers (Silver Transaction) are welcome to try Silver Practices beginning next Wednesday. All other Bronze swimmers should stay with Bronze.  I will also move some additional Bronze swimmers to the Afternoon Silver group for the summer beginning June 10.  Gold III swimmers are welcome to also come and try Gold II beginning next Wednesday.  All Gold Swimmers  will practice together during the Spring and Summer.   Look at the calendar for the week of June 9-13.  I had to switch the schedule around because of schools running through June 12.  All continuing swimmers from the Fall/Winter Season are registered through the summer. 
2. Cellcom Marathon Water Station -             I am still in desperate need of volunteers to help at our water station on Sunday morning, May 18.  All volunteers receive a t-shirt a full access to activities, food and drink at the finish area in the Lambeau Field Parking lot.  Please sign-up through the website. All swimmers, parents, family members and friends are welcome to help.  Thank you!
3. Upcoming Meet entries – As I receive meet information from host teams I will begin opening up the entry pages.  I should be opening our Friday Night 50’s meet soon.  We will need all team members to participate in this meet and will need parents to work the meet.

1. Assorted Notes

• Clinics are concluded for the spring, and there are no scheduled practices until next Tuesday for our year round swimmers.
• Escrow Accounts – Please ensure that you have taken care of all balances.  I will put all the stroke clinic charges in next week.  Remember that families will not be allowed to enter into swim meets with a balance owed on your escrow account.
• The Next Parent Group Committee is Monday night, May 5, 2014.  All Parent Group Committees are held from 5:30-7:00pm, in the 2^nd floor lobby area of the DT Y.  Parent Group committee members are Lynn Anderson – Facilitator, Jill Zablocki – Meet Director, Annjie and Mark Nowak – Food Service, Bob Howe & Amy Wolf – Equipment, Tim Van Gheem – Financial, Heidi Neverman – Awards Banquet & Recognition, Scott & Heidi Socha – Social & New Family,  Jeff & Beth Gahnz -  Marketing, Pat Stoa – Senior/National Team.
• Please remember to scan your membership cards when entering any YMCA
• Please remember to take a soap shower before entering any YMCA pool.
• Please remember that the GBY swim team is a part of the GBY Gymnastics Scrip program.  If any family is interested in earning some extra money for their escrow accounts should check out the Scrip program.  Scrip information is under the documents tab on the web site.
• Please ensure that you keep ample monies in your escrow accounts.  A swimmer will not be allowed to enter in a meet unless they have the monies in their escrow account to cover the meet fees. The website is set up to make sure that you have monies in your account when you enter a meet.  All escrow fees may be paid at the DT Y front desk, or by calling the DT Y front desk to pay by phone. Thank you to everyone for keeping up with your escrow accounts. Please do not wait until it is too late to get money into your account.  All information for your escrow account may be found under your account page on the website. And please keep ample monies in your escrow account to cover all upcoming charges.  All meet entry fee charges are done on the Monday following the meet.   If by chance you cannot enter a meet because of your escrow account. E-mail Coach Dave with your swimmer’s entry numbers by the entry deadline date and I will get them into the meet.
