1. Pabst Farms Summer Classic – 19 GBY swimmers are participating in the Pabst Farms Summer Classic at the Schroeder Aquatic Center this Friday-Sunday, May 30-June 1.  I have not heard anything back from the host meet regarding afternoon warm-up times for Saturday & Sunday.  Friday warm-up (3:45pm), Saturday AM warm-up (8:00am), and Sunday AM warm-up (7:00am) is all I know now. When I get the Saturday & Sunday warm-up I will post them on the website. But would imagine around Noon on Saturday and 11:00am on Sunday.  I will be at the meet all weekend.

Upcoming Meet entries – Fox Cities Y Summer Classic registration deadline is Sunday, June 1.

WGLO - USA and Qualified swimmers only registration deadline is Sunday June 8

FCY Birdbath Entry registration deadline is Sunday, June 22.

GBY Friday Night 50’s meet (registration deadline is Sunday, June 8). The job sign-up is now open.  We will need all team members to participate in this meet and will need parents to work the meet.  You also received a note about gift baskets and gift cards for Friday Night 50’s Raffle prizes.

1. Assorted Notes

• There will be only a Friday afternoon practice this due to the Pabst Farms Meet- Coach Bill will run the Friday afternoon workout.
• Coach Dave gone next Tuesday – Thursday – I will not be at practices next Tuesday-Thursday.  The assistant coaches will cover all of these workouts.  I will be at the Monday and Friday workouts.
• Practice Schedule for the week of June 9-13. – Take a close look at the calendar for this week’s workouts.  Because of school running extra late we had to make some shifts for this week only. 
• Escrow Accounts – Please ensure that you have taken care of all balances.  I will put all the stroke clinic charges in this week.  Remember that families will not be allowed to enter into swim meets with a balance owed on your escrow account.
• The Next Parent Group Committee is Monday night, June 2, 2014.  All Parent Group Committees are held from 5:30-7:00pm, in the 2^nd floor lobby area of the DT Y.  Parent Group committee members are Lynn Anderson – Facilitator, Jill Zablocki – Meet Director, Annjie and Mark Nowak – Food Service, Bob Howe & Amy Wolf – Equipment, Tim Van Gheem – Financial, Heidi Neverman – Awards Banquet & Recognition, Scott & Heidi Socha – Social & New Family,  Jeff & Beth Gahnz -  Marketing, Pat Stoa – Senior/National Team.
• Please remember to scan your membership cards when entering any YMCA
• Please remember to take a soap shower before entering any YMCA pool.
• Please remember that the GBY swim team is a part of the GBY Gymnastics Scrip program.  If any family is interested in earning some extra money for their escrow accounts should check out the Scrip program.  Scrip information is under the documents tab on the web site.
• Please ensure that you keep ample monies in your escrow accounts.  A swimmer will not be allowed to enter in a meet unless they have the monies in their escrow account to cover the meet fees. The website is set up to make sure that you have monies in your account when you enter a meet.  All escrow fees may be paid at the DT Y front desk, or by calling the DT Y front desk to pay by phone. Thank you to everyone for keeping up with your escrow accounts. Please do not wait until it is too late to get money into your account.  All information for your escrow account may be found under your account page on the website. And please keep ample monies in your escrow account to cover all upcoming charges.  All meet entry fee charges are done on the Monday following the meet.   If by chance you cannot enter a meet because of your escrow account. E-mail Coach Dave with your swimmer’s entry numbers by the entry deadline date and I will get them into the meet.
