Announcements 

Tonight from 5:00pm to 6:30pm Elsmore will be up here at the Downtown YMCA for a suit sizing day. All swimmers are invited to come during that time to get sized for their competition suits. ALL GBY swimmers must wear a GBY competition suit to swim meets, with the exception being some championship meets through out the season where the older swimmers will be allowed to wear tech suits. Our team suits are Speedo brand and are navy blue with the GBY on them. Girls can choose from different back styles and boys can choose between a jammer and the briefs. Kelly will also have some equipment items for sale and some goggles and practice caps. 

Meet Info

Here is our current meet schedule: We know the weekend of Y state but it is still being decided if they will do one whole Y state or seperate it like last year where Y state is 11 & over and the 10 & unders will have a seperate meet. This should be decided by the end of september. 

October 23-HOME MEET-GBY Virtual Meet-Halloween theme( This meet is cool because data is collect from all YMCA’s across the country who host a meet in the time frame to make one big Virtual meet where times will get compared with all participating YMCA’s across the nation)

As meet info becomes available I will turn on the sign up option for the swim meets. Remember you must be logged on to sign up for a swim meet and have a balance less than 0 to sign up. For the new parents and as a refresher for items like extra swim caps, swim meet fees, etc… we use an escrow system. You can check your escrow account on team unify website. If you have money in your escrow account it will show up as a negative number. Example if I added 100 dollars to my escrow account and I checked my balance on team unify it would show that I had -100 in my account. If you check your account and it’s a positive number that means you owe money. To add money to your escrow account you can call the front desk or email me with how much you want to add and the last 4 digits of the card or bank account on file with the YMCA do you want to charge.
