Mako Aquatics is a year-round competitive USA swim team. The organization is a non-profit swim team offering high-quality professional coaching for all ages and abilities with the emphasis on developing skills and technique. Mako Aquatics is committed to excellence and improvement through an appreciation and knowledge of the sport by teaching self-discipline, leadership, and sportsmanship to our athletes while encouraging them to realize their full potential as an athlete. Mako Aquatics uses cutting edge technology including eo SwimBETTER, bone conduction headsets to communicate with the swimmers, tempo trainers, Phlex and the GMX7 aquatic resistance training system that develops greater efficiencies, enabling an athlete to train harder, build power, and ultimately more speed. Mako Aquatics takes an innovative approach to training swimmers based on a combination of perfecting technique through core engagement, science (i.e. USRPT, DNA driven nutrition) and the art of changing gears (i.e. heart rate based and tempo based); asking swimmers to understand the exact level of intensity a coach wants throughout a practice, to drive the performance
