Mighty Marlin 10 & under girls added to their Age Group Invite (AGI) events with fast swims at the TAC Island Express Swim Meet in Anacortes! Rylee Whall made her first AGI time with a 40.93 in the 50 free. Jules Wilson added the 50 free as well, and also made the time in the 50 fly, with a 10 second time drop, swimming a very fast 45.28. Marlins enjoy Flapjack Fundraiser breakfast at Applebee’s. It was great to see so many Marlins, happily helping-out, by serving breakfast at the Applebee’s in Marysville. It was also great to see lots of family member we rarely get to see. Food, and fun, was had by all. Rumor has it that Asher and Aaron enjoyed their job as busboys so much, that they stopped at 3 restaurants on the way home and applied for a job! Way to go Mighty Marlins!
Rylee Whall Wins it all!! Rylee Whall took home the 8 & under top female swimmer trophy, for best overall time for 4 events. On the road to the award, she won the 25 and 50 breast, 25 back and 25 free, and was 2nd in the 25 fly and 50 free. Mighty Marlins “Start” something in Federal Way this weekend at the Washington Open. (Note the pictures!!) What they started was reaching high levels of competition and doing quite well. 55 teams from 8 different states sent their best swimmers to the meet. In nearly every event they swam, Marlins had best times and vastly improved their placing. Jacob Christy swam his way into the finals in the 200-fly taking 19th overall. In the last couple of MG High School Meets, Jacob Christy has taken over the 200 IM and 200 Free school records, and Cameron Leary put his stamp on the 100 backstroke record! Way to go Men!!
