Every Mighty Marlin swimmer scored one or more ribbons, for a top 8 finish, at the Age Group Invite at Kamiak High School! Alora de Vera and Gavin Plano each had 5 top 8 finishes. Gavin scored a 2nd, 2-5ths, a 7th, and an 8th. Alora had 3-5ths and 2-8ths. Evie Azarpay scored a 6th and 2-7ths. Katherine Carlson had a 4th and a 6th and Cameron Leary scored a 3rd and Sophia Whall a 7th! Way to go Mighty Marlins!
Mighty Marlins swimmers hit 111 best times at the IST Invite in Snohomish! Luke and Zach Mullen led the way with best times in all 8 of the events they swam. Clara Davidson, and Ava and Owen Thompson each had 7 best times. Swimmers with 6 best times were Evie Azarpay, and Rylee and Sophia Whall. Many Mighty Marlins competed in the 2A, 3A, and 4A, Distrct 1 High School Swimming and Diving Championships. At the District meets the top finishers qualified for the state meet coming up this weekend. For the 2A schools, competing for Marysville-Pilchuck (MP), Hallie Higgins won the 200 IM and was second in the 100 fly. Also swimming for MP, Ava Christensen was 8th in the 200 IM, and 10th in the 100 breaststroke, and Zoey Getty was 9th in the 500 free and 11th in the 50 free. Hallie qualified...
Due to a clerical error by Kirby Schaufler 2 people were left out of the previous article. Evie Azarpay was top 12 in all her events with 4 - 3rd place finishes and a 5th and a 6th place finish. She also qualified for the Age Group Invite in all 6 of her events. CJ Grant also swam well in his first meet, winning a duck for his heat winner finish in the 25 free! Way to Marlins!
The Mighty Marlins visited beautiful Anacortes to swim in the Fall Thunderbird Swim Meet this weekend. Sixteen different Marlins placed in the top 12 at the meet. Note: The IST entry file is fixed, it is ready for all entries. The Mighty Marlins hosted the Marlins Fall Invite Meet in Snohomish this weekend. The meet was a huge success thanks to the massive volunteer efforts of the Marlin parents and swimmers. Also, a new business was created, a combination daycare and concession stand!
