Washington Water Sharks offers training and practice groups for swimmers of all ages and ability levels. It is the goal of the Washington Water Sharks to offer age specific training for all of our athletes geared towards challenging each individual and developing each individual to the best of THEIR abilities.  We look forward to another great season!

Red Group

This is our entry level group. An athlete must be able to swim one length of freestyle and one length of backstroke without assistance or have passed level 4 lessons to enter this group.  Basic stroke knowledge is required. Swimmers are able to swim 300-600 yard sets.

Thursday  4:15-5p

White Group

With experience, athletes will move into this group. Athletes in this group will continue to grow all four competitive strokes, having fun, and perfecting start and turn technique. This group must have a 50 freestyle time of 45-60 seconds. Swimmers are capable of swimming 20-35 minute sets and 1000-2000 yards per practice.

Thursday  5-6p

 Blue Group

This training group must have a 50 freestyle time of 32-45 seconds and a 100 yard freestyle time of 1:30. Recommended to practice 3 times per week. Capable of swimming 30-45 minute sets and 2000-3500 yards per practice. Competing at swim meets is highly encouraged, but not required. This group will also have dryland practices.

Gold Group Coach: Samantha Van Houten & Terra Huber

This training group must have a 50 freestyle time of 32 seconds or faster and a 100 freestyle time of 1:15 or faster. Capable of swimming 35-45 minute sets and 3000-4000 yards per practice. This group will also have dryland practices.
