The American Red Cross has been the leader in swimming and lifeguarding since 1914. It's no wonder why more aquatic professionals train with the American Red Cross than any other aquatic safety training provider today.  Each year, more than 170,000 lifeguards are trained through the American Red Cross.

All Charger Aquatics coaches and lifeguards are trained and certified through the American Red Cross. Training includes:

  • Surveillance skills to recognize and prevent injuries
  • Rescue skills in the water and on land
  • First aid training and professional rescuer CPR
  • Professional lifeguard responsibilities such as interacting with the public

As the leader in providing lifesaving training to the American public, the American Red Cross is commited to ensuring the health and safety of participants in all Red Cross courses. Preventing transmission of disease during CPR training is an essential element in the development and delivery of all American Red Cross courses.
