Shippensburg Aquatic Club (SAC) is a non-profit organization with an elected Board of Directors. The club provides swim instruction and competitive swimming opportunities to the Shippensburg community.

Our club team participates in the Central Pennsylvania Aquatic League and the Capital Area Swim League. SAC has been serving Shippensburg and surrounding communities for fifty years, providing a year round program for athletes.

Mission

The mission of the Shippensburg Aquatic Club is to empower our members to develop the physical skills and character necessary to succeed as athletes and responsible citizens.

 

Core Values

To fulfill this mission, the Shippensburg Aquatic Club embodies the following core values:

  1. Promote Skill Development: Ensure swimmers of all ages and skill levels develop proper stroke mechanics and technical proficiency from an early age, setting the foundation for lifelong success in the sport.
  2. Foster Positive Values: Instill and promote core values such as sportsmanship, respect, and integrity in every swimmer, emphasizing their importance both in competition and in life.
  3. Encourage Personal Growth: Help swimmers build self-esteem and motivation by encouraging hard work, setting goals, and achieving those goals, fostering a sense of accomplishment and self-confidence.
  4. Cultivate Commitment and Dedication: Promote a culture of dedication, self-discipline, and team loyalty that empowers athletes to pursue excellence in their training, competition, and personal lives.
  5. Strive for Excellence: Inspire members to continually strive for excellence, supporting a culture where high standards and continuous improvement are embraced.
  6. Provide a Supportive Environment: Create a structured, challenging, and nurturing training environment that maximizes each swimmer's potential and encourages perseverance, teamwork, and the pursuit of personal and team success.
