Saturday Splash is a Learn-to-Swim program the Swim Academy offers for all Bangkok Patana students from Nursery, Foundation Stages 1 and 2, and Years 1 and 2. Our Saturday Splash program focuses on building confidence, learning the basics of swimming, and refining strokes in a fun and safe environment.

Class groups:

Hammerhead 1: is designed for nursery-age kids and focuses on water familiarisation and pool safety. This program teaches children essential skills such as blowing bubbles, submerging, floating, and kicking. The goal is to help them gain confidence in the water while ensuring a fun and safe experience.

Hammerhead 2: is designed for students in the Foundation Stage. It focuses on building confidence and teaching essential pool safety rules. The program covers submerging, floating, and kicking skills with and without floating aids. We aim to create a safe and supportive environment for young swimmers to develop their abilities.

WhaleShark 1: is tailored for children in Years 1 and 2, focusing on developing foundational swimming skills. In this level, participants will learn freestyle kicking and backstroke techniques using floating aids. The program emphasises mastering the streamlined position and basic arm movements for freestyle swimming. We aim to ensure that children feel confident and capable in the water while enjoying the learning process in a safe environment.

WhaleShark 2: This group will be at the 25-meter pool, focusing on learning the basics of freestyle, including breathing techniques and coordinated backstroke. We'll also practice diving, jumping in the deep end, and introducing the Dolphin kick.

WhaleShark 3: is focused on refining swimmers' skills in freestyle and backstroke, helping them achieve the ability to swim 15 meters confidently. At this level, participants will also be introduced to the basics of the butterfly stroke and the breaststroke kick. The program aims to enhance their technique and endurance while ensuring a fun and supportive learning environment.

Megalodon 1: is designed for swimmers ready to enhance their breaststroke skills. Participants will focus on coordinating the timing of their pull and kick. They will also work on demonstrating a good butterfly stroke and practising freestyle and backstroke over 25 meters. The program aims to improve participants' overall technique and build confidence in the water while maintaining a fun and supportive environment.

Megalodon 2: is designed for swimmers and is focused on improving their stroke technique and building endurance. Participants in this group will work on swimming 25 meters using all strokes while also learning racing skills. This preparation will help them transition into our competitive swim program, allowing them to refine their abilities and compete effectively in future events. The emphasis will be on technique improvement, confidence, and preparing for competitive swimming in a supportive environment.
