As head coach of the BPS TigerSharks, Joe brings a coaching ethos is built around nurturing swimmers ownership and supporting them in creating their own pathway in the sport.

Since 2020, Joe has lead swimmers from the TigerSharks to multiple national championships including medalists, along team conference titles at a junior and senior level. Joe joined us in 2020 following an excellent period as Head Coach at Hamilton Aquatics in Doha. Whilst leading swimmers to both Junior and Senior National meets across Europe, Joe led parent workshops across the year as well as swimmer workshops which included Psychology and Nutrition. He brings huge enthusiasm for school based swimming and his degree in Sports and Exercise Science and ASA coaching qualifications, is a valuable assett to the programme.

Joe is passionate about cultivating a team approach to swimming, implementing team based competition within squads and team challenges, helping nurture teamwork and sportsmanship within the programme. All of this leads to a positive and cohesive support network for the swimmers during the swim journey at BPS.

Coach Aek has been at BPS since 2007. For the majority of his time at the school, has been stretched across both PE and TigerSharks. He has now moved over fully to the TigerSharks programme as one of our Assistant Head Coaches. Coach Aek studies Sports Science at Chulalongkorn University and has a wealth of experiencein both swim coaching and teaching. He is very focussed on helping each swimmer achieve their potential. He has an eye for numbers and is exceptional at recalling swimmer times, a valuable skill in coaching. 
Coach Aek recently travelled with the Thai National Junior team to the Philippines to support with the SEA Age Group Championships. 

Coach Belle joined TigerSharks in August 2022, beginning as a part-time coach with our Pups squad. Coach Belle then continued to work with our JD2 squad, helping multiple swimmers gain qualification for Thailand Nationals. Coach Belle now joins the full-time team as Assistant Head Coach, specialising in overseeing the junior squads of the TigerSharks, continuing to work with JD2.

Coach Belle was a former competitive swimmer for over 18 years and regularly competed at Thailand National Championships. Her coaching experience has seen her attend as a coach for the Thailand Age Group team at SEA Age Groups in the Philippines 2018. Coach Belle has comes with previous experience in international schools in Bangkok, including St. Andrews (Ekkamai) 2018 - 2020 and Verso in 2020 - 2022. 

Coach Rich joins the full-time team with the Bangkok Patana TigerSharks as Assistant Head Coach for Learn to Swim from August 2024. Coach Rich spent around 7 years with Bangkok Dolphins and has fantastic knowledge of the local swim community working with a diverse range of swimmers. Specialising in Learn to Swim, Coach Rich brings fundamentals to his lessons, making sure swimmers him their skills whilst adopting a fun based to their learning. 

Coach Rich will help to lead our TigerPrawns program for our selected Year 2 students alongside running the Saturday Splash program. 

Coach Bow joined the team in August 2018 and is our current coach for Junior Performance. Coach Bow has represented Thailand at an International level and has a fantastic variation of swimming coaching including Para swimming and baby lessons.

Coach Mink joined the team in August 2018 and is one of the current coaches for Pups. Coach Mink is a consultant for Thailand Triathlon Federation and has a passion for open water swimming; along with being a swim coach, Coach Mink is also a triathlon coach and takes baby swimming lessons.

Fun fact: Represented Thailand in Sailing at SEA games and won a Bronze Medal!

Coach Gae joined the TigerSharks in 2022, and has continuosly helped out with our Pups squad. Coach Gae used to competitively swim in Thailand, this was mainly to help support her swimming needed for representing Thailand in triathlon and modern pentathlon. 

Coach Pat is a most recent coach to join the TigerSharks team in August 2021. Coach Pat lead our Shark Academy Coach for the 21-22 academic year which saw progression of the relatively new program along with swimmers improving in the water. Coach Pat has represented Thailand in 2007-2011 winning a Silver medal at Asian Indoor and SEA Games.

Coach Porsche has recently joined us in August 2022 and will lead our Shark Academy program for the 22-23 season. Coach Porsche was a former competitive swimmer and represented Thailand at SEA Age and Senior Championships. Coach Porsche coaching background includes baby swimming along with coaching juniors of all ages. Coach Porsche also has qualifcations in personal training and looks foward to working with senior swimmers in dryland for the future.
