The 2013 Canada Games continue in Sherbrooke this week, with the swimming competition wrapped up here's a look at how TSC's representatives fared... The 2013 Canada Games are set to get underway in Sherbrooke starting tomorrow and TSC will be well represented as important members of Team Ontario. The swimming competition is scheduled to begin Sunday, August 4th through Friday, August 4th with TSC swimmers Edward Liu, David Riley, and Oliver Straszynski set for action. Also part of Team Ontario will be TSC's Kirsten Vergara who will be competiting in the Triathlon competition set to begin Tuesday, August 13th. Good luck to all our TSC athletes in Sherbrooke!

TSC took to the fantastic Parc Jean-Drapeau outdoor facility in Montreal, 25 swimmers strong, to compete at the Canadian Age Group Championships over the last six days and we collected an impressive set of results.  As a team, TSC finished 5th overall and collected 14 individual medals against Canada's best age group swimmers. TSC swimmer and 2012 Canadian Olympian Zsofi Balasz finished 19th overall in today's 10km race at the World Swimming Championships in Barcelona. Do not let the 19th place standing fool you, this was a big-time breakthrough for Balasz who was just 9.3 seconds behind the 1st place finisher.  Zsofi's final time of 1:58.28.5 illustrates how close 20+ of the World's best Open Water swimmers are in today's competitive landscape that after nearly two hours of intense racing just 9.3 seconds separated Zsofi from the World Champion. TSC is in Montreal this week, 25 age group swimmers strong for the Canadian Age Group Championships, the final major club meet of the 2012-2013 swim season calendar.  Competition runs Wednesday through Sunday in the pool and caps off on Monday with the Open Water competition. The 2013 Canadian Summer Nationals are in the books and TSC swimmers showed very well over the 4 days in Pointe-Claire.  The big story for TSC coming out of Sr. Nationals was the first ever National Championship for Matthew Myers in the 200BK (2:00.36) and the final National Championship for retiring TSC swimmer Warren Barnes in the 50BR (28.25)!  Myers (pictured right), who trains with Byron Macdonald and Linda Kiefer with our friends at the University of Toronto, had two epic showdowns over the weekend with Matthew Swanston and while...
