Congratulations to TSC's Oliver Straszynski who was named as Swim Ontario's Athlete of the Month!! Oliver has been re-writting the TSC record book with vigor early in this 2013-2014 season and the Ontario swimming community is starting to notice.  In November, Oliver made waves by winning his first medal at a Sr. National level meet with his Bronze medal performance in the 200FR at Canada Cup.  Additionally Oliver had strong 6th places finishes in the 100FR and 400FR at Canada Cup. On Thursday, December 12, 112 swimmers from the National, Gold 1-3, Silver 1-3, 6 coaches and 5 chaperones boarded two buses to compete in the CAMO Invitation P1-P2 de Noel in Montreal. Competition ran from Friday, December 13- Sunday, December 15 at Claude-Robillard Sports Complex. Over two full days of competition in a spirit meet in Barrie, our Toronto Swim Club completed the weekend by capturing the Trojan Cup! Congratulations to TSC's Penny Oleksiak becoming the club's newest Sr. National qualifier by breaking out a 1:02.50 100BK tonight in a B-Final victory at Canada Cup! At just 13-years old, Penny is one of the country's youngest Sr. National qualifiers.
