Congratulations to Bill O'Toole and his swimmers Philip Vranic, Josh Gold, Tyler Tong-McDermott, and Penny Oleksiak who raced wtih 'Team East' during Tuesday and Wednesday's inaugural Youth Dual Meet. The TSC representatives were joined by an all-star age group cast of swimmers across Ontario, Quebec, and into the Maratimes to take on the best of Western Canada. When the dust settled, Team East was victorious 1097-988, and Swimming Canada recapped the action. TSC's Penny Oleksiak punctuated her Canadian Age Group Championships performance by taking home the 14-year old female High Point recognition! Through the competition, Penny medalled in all 10 of her individual events and led the 14 & under TSC relays to a sweep of the three relays of the competition, including the 4x200FR relay with Aleksa Gold, Emma Binns, and Christiane Konstantopoulos, which smashed the Canadian National Age Group Record. Following action at the Canadian Age Group Championships, four of TSC's best are set to represent the "East" squad in the inaugeral Youth Dual Meet in Winnipeg. Philip Vranic, Josh Gold, Tyler Tong-McDermott, and Penny Oleksiak will race on Tuesday and Wednesday in a special short course showcase of some of Canada's best age group swimmers. Congratulations to TSC's Alicia and Renee Corbiere who completed a highly successful run at the North American Indigenous Games with a truckload of hardware to show for their efforts.
