At the Tri-Star Meet this weekend, our future champions were joyfully playing, learning, swimming and building lasting friendships at our very own U of T Varsity Pool - a wonderful venue in which to compete. We have just been informed by the Permit Office that Jarvis Collegiate is CLOSED until further notice. Silver 2 and Bronze 2 workouts will be CANCELLED tonight, Tuesday, May 27. We are working on a contingent plan and will put out a revised schedule as soon as it becomes available. TSC Staff
Congratulations to TSC's Men's 11-12 year old 4x100 Medley Relay who set a new National Age Group Record at the TSC Time Trial this morning with a time of 4:36.88! Aidan Hull 1:09.72 Erik Wright 1:15.63 Graysen Bernard 1:09.80 Owen Straszynski 1:01.73 Our boys dropped the record down from 4:42.49 set by HYACK in 2013. Toronto Swim Club would like to welcome swimmers from Cobra Swim Club and Mississaga Aquatic Club to the TSC Tri-Star Swim Series. The meet will take place this Saturday, May 24 at the University of Toronto Pool (55 Harbord Street) Warm up: 4:00pm (swimmers will be allowed on deck for 3:45pm for stretching/activation) Start: 4:30pm. On Tuesday, May 13th at 11AM, TSC's Martha McCabe will join with Mark Tewksbury (1992 Canadian Olympic Gold Medallist in the 100BK) and executives from Swimming Canada and RBC Insurance to launch a program aimed to teach thousands of Canadian children to swim 25 metres. TSC's Oliver Straszynski has departed to Charlotte, North Carolina to participate in the Charlotte Grand Prix as part of the Swim Canada 'Male Junior Relay Initiative Tour'. The 12-member Canadian team will be in Charlotte May 11th-19th an compete as a team starting on Thursday. Oliver was selected to be part of this 12 member team at a performance camp held following the Canadian Swim Trials in Victoria.
