Late Registration Policy

Approved by the Board on August 7, 2025

Late registrations into the competitive groups will be accepted up until April provided there is availability of space. Registration fees will be pro-rated and may be paid in full or by instalments throughout the season.

1st instalment due is during registration

2nd instalment due is November 1st

3rd instalment due is January 1st

4th instalment due is March 1st.

Registration fees will be prorated every two months for late registraints and be reduced accordingly.  

Nov-Dec 80%

Jan-Feb 60%

Mar-April 40%

Swim PEI, Swim Canada and club administration fees will be additional fees paid upon registration.

Exceptions to the registration policy will be considered for varsity swimmers returning to PEI after training and competing for their respective schools, swimmers who move to PEI and are transferring from their current swim club and swimmers who are returning from injury after registering with CBAC for the season. Other requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis. 

Swim PEI, Swim Canada and club administration fees will be additional fees paid upon registration. There is no reduction in fees or exceptions for Swim PEI, Swim Canada, or club administration fees. 

Withdrawal and Refund Policy 

Pre-Competitive Program

A refund is available to swimmers who withdraw from CBAC’s pre-competitive development programs based on the table below. A $25.00 administration fee is deducted from all refund requests. Requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. SNC/Swim PEI fees and administration fees are not refunded. 

Credits or refunds will not be provided for missed practices, including those because of injury or illness. A refund may be considered on a case-by-case basis should an athlete miss an extended period due to illness or injury. Although beyond CBAC’s control, a refund may be considered at the end of the swimming season should the club not be permitted to train for an extended period due to COVID-19. 

SCENARIO: Withdraw from program within first two weeks of the start of the 10-week session. 
POLICY: 100% refund.

SCENARIO: Withdraw from program on or after first two (2) weeks of the start of the 10-week session. 
POLICY: No refund.

Competitive Program

Swim meet fees for meets entered by the swimmer prior to withdrawal are not refunded. Credits or refunds will not be provided for missed practices, including those because of injury or illness.

POLICY: 100% refund.

SCENARIO:    Withdraw from program on or before December 31 of given year. 
POLICY:     60% refund of the year’s fees if registration is paid in full at the beginning of the swim season. 10% refund of the first payment installment.

SCENARIO: Withdraw from program January 1 to March 31 of given year. 

POLICY: 30% refund of the year’s fees if registration is paid in full at the beginning of the swim season. First and second payment instalments paid are nonrefundable.

SCENARIO: Withdraw from program post April 1.

Varsity

Varsity swimmers who plan to train during their varsity school year (September – April), are eligible to pay 80% of their swim group’s annual fee provided they terminate their training on or before April 30. Declaration of plan to swim to April 30 at registration. Missed payment must be received within two weeks. If payment is not received within two weeks, the swimmer(s) will not be allowed to practice with CBAC or participate in any CBAC activities, including swim meets, until their account is balanced. 

A member’s financial obligation to CBAC continues in the event of non-payment, except in accordance with the terms of this policy.
