Fees Structure

We offer two payment options for all groups other than the Olympic Way, which has another payment procedure. Please read below the payment options and the terms and conditions for each.

A discount is offered to those who choose to pay annually, making a commitment to the club for the entire season.  The annual fee is non-refundable.

Every swimmer must pay a registration fee to Swim Canada and Swim Ontario that ranges from $123.90 to $183.90 based on the athlete's age. This fee is paid at the start of the season as part of the registration process and is in addition to the Club's fees.

Option 1. Annual

*As stated above, a Swim Canada (SC) and Swim Ontario (SO) fee will be charged at the time of registration, in addition to the GSH Registraiton Fee.  The SC/SO fee ranges from $123.90 to $183.90 based on the athlete's age.

Terms and Conditions

• All-season commitment (September to June)
• Non-refundable. Please note that refunds are not provided in the event of a COVID shut-down or shut-down for any other reason. An alternative program will be provided as best as possible. Please see the Fees FAQ for more information.
• The training schedule is subject to change based on the availability of the pool and/or coaches.
• Make-up sessions are not offered for missed practices (i.e. personal reasons, COVID closure, pool fouling, coach illness, inclement weather, etc.)
• GSH Registration Fee and SNC/SO Registration Fee are payable with registration.
• Annual Membership is payable on October 1st.
• HST applies to the annual Membership for 15 years and older athletes.

Option 2. Monthly Payments

Terms and Conditions

• The first two months (September & October) are the minimum commitment. 
• A month that has been paid can't be refunded. Please note that refunds are not provided in the event of a COVID shut-down or shut-down for any other reason. An alternative program will be provided as best as possible. Please see the Fees FAQ for more information.
• The training schedule is subject to change based on the availability of the pool and/or coaches.
• Make-up sessions are not offered for missed practices (i.e. personal reasons, COVID closure, pool fouling, coach illness, inclement weather, etc.)
• GSH Registration Fee and SNC/SO Registration Fee are payable with registration.
• First Monthly dues will be charged on September 1st.
• Each month's payment will be charged within the first five days of each month.
• Withdrawal notice needs to be sent to [email protected] one month in advance on or before the first day of the month. (e.g. to withdraw on February 1st, 2024, notice must be provided before January 1st, 2024)
• HST applies to the monthly Membership for 15 and over athletes.

For swimmers invited to Olympic Way this season, we will offer three training blocks. Close to the end of each block, the coaches will reassess the swimmer's performance, skill development, attitude and behaviour to determine if they are eligible to move up, if they should continue on the following Olympic Way training block, or suspend the activity.

Every swimmer must pay $120 for the Club registration fee and $54.05 to register to Swim Canada and Swim Ontario. This fee only needs to be paid for the first time they register each season: a swimmer invited to the first block will not have to pay this again if they continue for block two or three. 

In addition to the registration fees, the Membership fees are as outlined below. Payment for each block is charged at the beginning of the session.

• The first Training Block Payment is payable in full on September 1st.

Swim Meet Fees

Swim meet fees are according to the meet package stipulated cost per event and entry fee per swimmer and will be billed on the week after the competition to individual swimmer accounts.  

When swimmers commit to the event, and the entry deadline has passed, they will be charged whether they attend the competition or not, for any reason, including medical reasons.

All swim meets will have a GSH $15.00 administration fee to help cover the cost of attending swim meets.

Coaches will be responsible for choosing events for swimmers attending a GSH-approved swim meet. The GSH Head Coach determines which swim meets the team attends. The final decision will be up to the lead coach. Parents and swimmers are encouraged to consult with their coach about what events they would like to swim at each swim meet after choosing the "attend" button in our online sign-up system.

Family Participation Points & Fee

The Goulbourn Sea Hawks Club relies on family involvement to effectively run all Club and group social activities, swim meets and time trials (including set up and execution), fundraising activities, sponsorship solicitation, and community outreach and advertising. 

Each family with a competitive swimmer (applies to all groups except for Olympic Way, which is pre-competitive) will be expected to participate in volunteer activities. We welcome all family members as volunteers. As part of the Family Participation Program, each family must have one adult qualified at a minimum of timer level at swim meets. New families to the Club must complete Level I (Timer) within the first year of Membership with Goulbourn Sea Hawks. Completion of Level I (Timer) requires an official clinic (in person or via webinar, which takes approximately 1 hour) and two successful deck evaluations (timing at a swim meet). The clinic training and on-deck evaluations will contribute toward the participation point requirements for each family.

Each Family Volunteer Points Obligation is 24 Points or $600, which is charged at the end of the season. For every volunteer point earned by the family, $25 will be subtracted from the $600 balance owing.
