Mia Bottrill qualified for the B final through preliminaries in the 200 fly 14th overall, just off her club record swim from last summer. She was one of just 3 16 year olds to make a second swim in this event. In the finals she finished 7th in the race. Good job Mia!

The day belonged to Justin Kiedrzyn who set a new club record in the men's Open 50 fly taking down the 2002 record by .03! Justin ended up 6th in the B final, also his first second swim at the National level. May Li swam to a best time in her 100 back preliminary swim, and Mia was just off her 50 fly best time. Also of note Stefan Milosevic representing the training center was 5th in his 200 free with a best time swim.

Chris Baker had to wait unitl the final day of competition to have his chance at the podium at Westerns. His patience paid off with in his singature event, the 200 Fly. A tremendous effort over the last 50 M saw Chris hold off other challengers to claim the bronze in a big best time swim. Chris was solid all meet but this was his big break through. Aiden Kim, May Li, Mia Bottrill, Inder Pooni all had second swims through out the competition.

Victoria Tocheva (10) sets a new club record in the 10&u age category in the first race as she finished 7th.
