5 New Western Champs Qualifiers at Western Transmountain Festival!

We had 17 swimmers kick off the long course racing season in style at the Western Transmountain Festival in Calgary on February 23-24.

LASC swimmers had a great meet with 5 swimmers making their first Western Canadian Championships qualifying times! Kate HIll (50 Fly) and Naoise Gelber (50 Free) will be off to Winnipeg, bringing our team up a LASC record 12 swimmers!

Our other 3 new qualifiers will have to wait - Alex Ginther (100 Breast), Riley Ginther (100 Breast) and Taya Odorski (200 Breast) all qualified for the 13 year old times but cannot attend as 12 year olds.  Congratulations all, qualifying for Westerns is a great accomplishment!

With 5 Westerns QTs for our new qualifiers posted, our pre-qualified swimmer added to their meet schedules with a combined 9 more qualifying times.  14 total new Westerns events in 2 days!
