Swim Meet Officiating

Hosting swim meets provides our swimmers with the opportunity to race at minimal cost and without the need for travel. Swim meets are also a great source of revenue for the club.

Swim meets typically occur over the course of several days, with two sessions being offered each day. Each session of a swim meet requires over 50 volunteers to keep the meet running smoothly and on schedule.

Volunteering at a swim meet is a great way to learn about the sport and increase your understanding of the skills and time standards your swimmer is working towards. Volunteers also get the best seats in the house!

There are many jobs to do at a swim meet, including jobs that require little to no training or experience. LASC will provide opportunities for job-shadowing and instruction on the more advanced jobs during the year. An overview of the volunteer positions required at a swim meet can be found below, or by clicking here.
