PCSC Swimmer of the Month

November 2025

 

SENIOR A: Jon Dong

Jonathon has had a really productive month. He has had a lot of really good questions and sessions in November. Making adjustments in the pool along the way. He really took advantage of the racing opportunity at McGill / being reflective post meet Jonathon has been working hard to make some changes prior to the PCSC Invit. Well Done!

 

SENIOR B: Anne-Frédérique Brisson


Anne-Frédérique has earned this recognition through her outstanding perseverance and constant drive to improve. Day after day, she shows up ready to push herself, stay focused, and commit to the little details that make a big difference. We’re excited to see where her hard work continues to take her in her future endeavours!

 

JUNIOR A: Matthew Li

Matthew has had an outstanding build up to the season. Despite an illness in September he has countinued his impeccable attendance record in November as well as learning to lead lanes and push himself in and out of the pool. At the McGill Swimposium he had multiple personal bests and competed at a very high level. Congratulations Matthew on your November Swimmer of the Month for the Junior A group! Keep up the great work!!

 

JUNIOR B: Daniel Shao

Daniel is a dedicated athlete who works incredibly hard every time he steps on deck. He is always looking to improve, willingly taking on challenges and pushing himself to new levels. Daniel consistently sets a positive example for his teammates with his attitude and focus, and he’s a strong leader in the water who lifts up those around him.

Excellent work this month, Daniel!

 

JUNIOR C: Augustin Sweiha

Augustin has been very consistent in training! He's doing a great job pushing intervals and racing his teammates. Keep it up!

AGE GROUP A: Noah Figarols-da Cruz and Julianna Hillier

Julianna and Noah have both shown standout commitment and focus this month. Julianna’s positive attitude and improvement in applying feedback have pushed her swimming to a new level. Noah’s consistency, strong work ethic, and postive attitude have made him a leader in the group. Great work from both swimmers keep it up!

 

AGE GROUP B: Luca Hu-Yin and Josephine Sima

Josephine and Luca have both demonstrated exceptional focus and dedication this month. Luca has made remarkable progress and shows an outstanding eagerness to learn. Josephine’s positive attitude and strong work ethic have contributed greatly to her continued growth. Awesome work—keep it up!

 

AGE GROUP C: Caleb McLaren

Caleb has shown much dedication and improvement this past month. He has shown amazing focus, a positive attitude, and steady improvement in every practice. He always gives his best effort, supports his teammates, and brings great energy to the pool. So proud of his hard work and dedication—keep it up, Caleb!

 

BOUT DE CHOU 1A: Matthew Fauquembergue

Congratulations to Matthew for his amazing work this month. In and out of the pool Matthew has been so focused working to improve. This is absolutelty paying off. I am so proud of the progress he has made so far and am excited to see what else he can accomplish this season! Go Matthew go!

 

BOUT DE CHOU 1B: Jacob Bradley

Jacob has had such a great training month! He's helped his teammates keep track of laps, actively participated each practice, and has been putting so much effort into bettering his backstroke. Not only is Jacob an awesome teammate, he's also becoming such a leader within 1B. Great job Jacob! Keep up the great work!

 

BOUT DE CHOU 1C: Ella Baker

Ella is such an excellent teammate and truly displays the values of a PCSC swimmer! She gives her best effort in all parts of practice and continuously wants to get better at everything she does. Ella has been so engaged all month long and has grown to be such an incredible athlete! Her positive attitude and excellent attendance also contribute to the team in such important ways. Amazing job Ella! Keep it up!

 

BOUT DE CHOU 1D: Charlotte Lupachow

Charlotte is an extremely positive person and puts us all in a better mood when she is on the pool deck. She always attacks things with such enthusiasm. She exemplifies what it means to be a good team mate and we are lucky to have her on our team! Congratulations Charlotte!

 

BOUT DE CHOU 2A: Jiakun (Jaco) Yao

This month, Jaco has paid extra close attention to his technique, and has been given opportunities to demonstrate skills in front of his peers. He brings a consistently positive attitude to practice, supports his teammates, and shows genuine persistence in every set. Jaco’s focus, effort, and steady commitment have truly stood out this month — great job, Jaco!

 

BOUT DE CHOU 2B: Edwyn Wang

Edwyn is focused and motivated to improve at each practice. He is a silent leader in our group, leading by example and always ensuring he is applying corrections. He has improved his underwaters and freestyle body position so much this month. Keep up the phenomenal work Edwyn!

 

BOUT DE CHOU 2C: Mateo Plaw

Mateo has demonstrated his motivation and dedication to becoming a better swimmer at each practice this month. He puts in all his effort during every swim set he does, and he is also a great teammate to his friends, helping everyone remember intervals and giving words of encouragement. Great job Mateo!

 

BOUT DE CHOU 2D: Maeve McMichael

Maeve has had stellar attendance and continues to bring strong focus to every practice. She has been working hard to follow the clock, keep her kick consistent, and stay attentive to her teammates. Her positive behaviours in the water and around the pool have stood out, and she consistently sets a great example for our group. Good job Maeve!

 

BOUT DE CHOU 2E: Shao Chen (Oscar) Chang

Oscar has had great attendance all season and has continually worked hard since the first practice. This month, Oscar has stood up with his great walls, never breathing on the first stroke, and determination in practice. Keep up th hard work Oscar!

 

BOUT DE CHOU 2F: Olivia Kamel

Olivia has consistently shown how hard of a worker she is, and this month was no exception! She is always meticulous about what she is doing at practice and not afraid to ask questions. Keep up the great work Olivia!

 

BOUT DE CHOU 3A: Maya Fauquembergue

Maya has had excellent attendance this month, which is a testiment to her dedication to the club and the sport. She has proven herself to be a leader in the group by constantly trying to go first in her lane and guiding activation and group cheers. Maya is constantly trying to improve, which is clear in her strong listening skills and focus. Keep up the great work Maya!

 

BOUT DE CHOU 3B: Yi Jun Zhao

Yi Jun has been doing an excellent job this season. He consistently puts in great effort and shows a genuine eagerness to learn. His mindset is always positive and focused, which makes him a pleasure to coach. Keep it up, Yi Jun!

 

BOUT DE CHOU 3C: Eva Bakish

Eva has had an amazing month in the pool! She’s always ready to hop in, lead her lane, and give every set her absolute best. Her positive attitude stands out, and she’s always open to feedback and eager to improve. She’s a great teammate, and her hard work and enthusiasm really show every day. Keep it up Eva!

 

BOUT DE CHOU 3D: David Kreuh

David has had a great month with great attendance! He's always very eager to get in the water and start swimming. His enthusiasm and positive attitude are contagious, and he's very passionate about what we do in practice. Keep up the great work David!

 

BOUT DE CHOU 3E: Maeva Routhier

Maeva has had an incredible start to the season! She shows amazing sportsmanship and brings a consistently positive attitude to every practice. She’s been putting in a lot of effort, and it’s truly been great to see her progress week after week. I’m really excited to see what’s to come for her this season!

 

BOUT DE CHOU 3F: Leo Antonecchia

Leo has been doing great in the pool! He’s a focused, determined swimmer who listens closely to every correction and immediately puts it into action. His strong work ethic and drive to improve are impossible to miss. Leo brings great energy to practice, supports his teammates, and continues to push himself further every time he swims. Keep it up, Leo!
