WELCOME TO PRECOMP

RHAC offers three pre-competitive groups, Mini Sharks, Sharks, and Super Sharks. Mini Sharks and Sharks are "open" registration on a first come first serve basis, Super Sharks is a program that selects swimmers the Sharks group based on skills, age and willingness to continue swimming in the competitive program. Our program runs Fall/Winter September -January, Spring from February - June , and Summer in July.

Mini Sharks

Mini Sharks program is available to swimmers who have completed Preschool level 5 (able to swim 5m free and 5m back). This program is a feeder for our Sharks program. The swimmers are taught competitive freestyle and backstroke. Coach to swimmer ratio is 1:4 & each session is 45 min in length

Sharks

Sharks is available to swimmers who have completed Swimmer level 4 and are able to swim 25m freestyle and backstroke. The goal of this program is to provide the fundamentals of competitive swimming that will let the aspiring competitive swimmers learn how to control their body in the water. We then show them how to translate these skills into the four competitive strokes: butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke and freestyle. Each session is 45min in length

Super Sharks

Super Sharks is available to swimmers that have been selected from our Sharks program. Registration into this group requires approval from the Precompetitive Coordinator. Swimmers must be able to swim freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke with proper technique in order to be approved for this group. At the end of each session, swimmers may be promoted to the first competitive group in RHAC, the Development Group, or the link up group "The Great White Sharks" who swim one day with Super Sharks and one day with the Development Group. This is space permitting.
