During the month of November, four members of our team organized a toy and food drive in conjunction with The Beat 94.5’s annual toy and food drive called The Beat Cares. Samantha Gosel, Nicole Welsh, Eva Ryder and Mackenzie McCord set up donation boxes on the pool deck at Watermania and challenged their team mates to give back. The Richmond Rapids Boys 13-14 relay team of Nathan Muszynski, Jack Hong, Bill Li, and Nicolaas Dekker, set a new provincial record in the 13-14 boys 4x200m free relay, posting a time of 8:12.68, breaking the previous record of 8:21.94, held by Island Swimming. The Rapids Parents Pub Night was a great success! Over 50 parents had a blast at Legends Pub. Congratulations to Carrie Murray who won her PPP for the entire year! A special thanks goes out to Jim & Michelle Jones, Glenn Chow, Mike Crawford and Khaled Ali for donating the door prizes. The club was able to raise over $300.00!
